3 wonderful students show us around the places where they are living at on a Sunday morning! I really can't thank them enough for their readiness and support for letting me film this short story.
In the video, I have covered the student hostels in Hamburg:
1. Schüttstraße
2. Bunatwiete
3. Triftstraße
The students explained everything regarding the application process, rent, the things that you are provided in the student hostels, the things that you should bring on your own, their experiences, house rules and some general rules that you should take care of when you are living in a student hostel in Germany.
Thanks to Harsh, Varun, Abhishek and Punia for making this possible. I wouldn't have let anybody film my room on a lazy Sunday morning! :D You guys are great!

Everybody who has been asking about the rent structure: It's 305 Euros per month per person. Every person in Germany has his own room, that means the 305 Euros is for his own room. The toilets, kitchen area and store are shared by everybody! Don't forget to subscribe to the channel before you go! ;)

This is so far the best video about student hostel ! I have some questions though : 1. So, hostel students is like accommodation provided by the university ? 2. Does Wohnung always means 1 apartment with many rooms ? 3. What do you call a room for one person with kitchen and bathroom ? I think I watched it somewhere and called Einzelzimmer but I am not sure. 4. How hot it could be in Germany ? And does sleeping without fan in bedroom is ok ? These are all my questions and I'd love to have english subtitle when the sound is not that clear (maybe because the space is too open like in public or big room). Danke schön !
Thanks for putting all the efforts to record this video, really helpful to understand the hostel accommodation

Good info, esp for Hamburg. Another tip for students incase they don't get hostel as soon as they reach is to check for some good deals in booking.com or AirBnB for a week. This is reduce the stress of being 'homeless' in initial days and then search for hostel or WGs
Please make a video on what kind of food they eat.
Hi! Bharat. No need to say, great video and informative content as usual. I would like to ask that whether if students staying in these hostels are allowed to come and go as they please or is there a timing when the hostel is open and closed? Many thanks for the effort you are putting in.

Indian universities and not allowed to go out after 10pm? This never happened in my university. Open 24x7. Which uni did you study at? :D
@dev4489
7 жыл бұрын
What I was trying to say is, that the universities do remain open 24x7, but you have to take special permission from hostel warden and then explain them where are you going at 2 am in night. And then there are gatekeepers at the entrance of the universities, they ask you some questions. And if everything clears out, then you are allowed to go out.

First of all, you are doing great by making these videos. It really helps a lot of people. Thanks a lot for these. I am a 3rd year Computer Science undergrad at IIIT Bhubaneswar. I want to study MS in Germany. However I don't know anything about how to apply, what all exams I have to give and all. I believe that there are many peoples like me in India who are clueless about how should they apply and how much in average it would cost per annum etc. It would be great to make a video on that.

After gone this video i come to know that this video is particularly for student hostels but not for job seekers and professionals and more over student hostels tie-up with the university and obviously cost of monthly expensive can be lite less come pared to private hostels or rooms. i would like to suggest you to make couple videos for job seekers and professional living cost and rent etc. so it would be better to get the accommodation in easier way. i would really appreciate to make couple of videos am awaiting for your beautiful videos until see you bye.
What if I'm alone, how and with whom do i share the apartments?
