Join Studebaker National Museum Archivist Andrew Beckman for a look at the Studebaker President. The presentation will look at the President’s origins in mid-1926 up through the final President model year in 1958, and also touch on Studebaker’s President-powered Indianapolis 500 racing team and the 40-foot long President replica that graced the Studebaker Proving Ground from 1931-1936.

The cover automobile is exactly like one my high school shop teacher drove, color was the only difference, his was black and dark green with gold trim and pin stripes. That was in 1949. An outstanding vehicle.
The engine in my 51 commander conv . càme from a wrecked speedster was a good engine back in 50s. Good video 😛

Paris to Peking run some years back for 1930 era vehicles. The 2 completely original President & Studebaker owners who participated from South Africa reported flawless performance and a good nights rest daily with the experiences being somewhat different for the other participants.
