Using one guitar to cover both the prominent bass line and the slide guitar is just brilliant. These "duo sessions" are amazing for how much these two get out of two voices and whatever instruments they can hold in their hands, hang from their necks, or strap to their feet.

They deserve so much more exposure/recognition but they ain't English or American so MSM doesn't give a hoot.

Mona's got a sort of laconic delivery in this song that really fits the "tired of it all" lyrics.

One of the many benefits of a MonaLisa Twins cover is that the clarity of their voices, even when singing together, allows one to hear all the words. For decades I thought the line was, "Well I'm wondering why I can't eat tonight," which of course is just dumb. Now I can die happy without the weight of that misinterpretation on my soul.

At last two genuinely talented musicians. Well done.

I'd go back in a heartbeat , I don't care if phones had cords on them , life was way better back then .... you always dealt with people , now it's all machines ..... There was no "press 2 for this , press 3 for that , please hold and wait for an hour while our two operators take 2,000 calls a day" .... It was a more "people oriented time"

Just thinking the same thing. I bought the CD last night and already this morning I'm finding more songs I wish were on it. I think this format really shines.

This is Wonderful! I remember when it came out in about 1973. The song got a lot of airplay where I lived in the Midwest. The lyrics flow so seamlessly. This version took me back to a simpler carefree time.

Long ago, there was a twin sisters unit named "The Peanuts" in Japan. Their harmony was very beautiful like "MonaLisa Twins". I liked them so much. But they could't play any musical instruments. And in the match of them, "MonaLisa Twins" is the winner.
