    Many people often confuse legal immigration, refugees and illegal immigration. Illegal immigration, by its name, is not allowed, and it's someone crossing the border without going through customs. But it happens all the time, and a heck of a lot more in the last 3 years than before. I'm not exactly sure why illegal immigrantion isn't patrolled more aggressively, but it may have something to do with the Democrats trying to make it legal for illegal immigrants to vote.

  • @nedrane297

    @nedrane297

    Ай бұрын

    Few things. People confuse legal and illegal immigration because its politically incorrect to call someone "illegal" and they come up with all these terms for illegal aliens that sound sympathetic instead. "Migrant" and "asylum seeker" doesn't sound that bad, sounds like people who just need help. Illegal immigration is not "patrolled more aggressively" for a few reasons. Left-wingers are firmly in the belief that everyone trying to come over the border DOES need help and it is our duty to help them. Then the more realistic people higher up ship them to places where they can beef up the population and increase the number of seats for that area. Or they send them to areas that are right wing so that they then have to deal with them, taking resources away from that area and leaving people there that are grateful to democrats for giving them a place to stay and just letting them stay in the country and will be voting democrat for generations, two birds one stone. Then it goes back to the old argument that "people of color don't have id, you can't demand ID in order for people to vote!" which has been demonstrated to not be true, except that it is if you substitute illegal aliens for black people, they were never actually talking about black people not having ID, it was always illegal aliens but its getting harder to cover up those numbers so they want to make it legal for non citizens to vote.

  • @jordanoxx11

    @jordanoxx11

    Ай бұрын

    Allowing them to vote is certainly part of it, but it isn't necessary to massively screw the people. The census counts everyone, legal or illegal. The number of representatives in the house is a constant 435, but the number each state gets to send is weighted based on the census. Also, the electoral college vote count for choosing the president is equal to the number of representatives in the house that state has. This means that both legislative power and executive power is directly and heavily impacted by illegal immigration even if not a single one votes.

    Three things needed for a sovereign country: Borders, Language, Culture. We no longer have a southern border. Those coming into our country do not speak English, or refuse to. A lot do not assimilate to the American culture they are taking advantage of. When you bring there here, here becomes there. Especially when being allowed in by the millions. The democrats say that the children should not be held accountable for their parents breaking the law when it comes to illegal immigration. The democrats also say I should pay reparations if my great, great, great grandparents owned a slave. Which, at the time, was legal. I can't go both ways. An immigrant applies to the government for legal entry under the written law. They are granted entry before coming here. An illegal just crosses the border to stay committing a crime in doing so. Let me put it another way... if I'm a immigrant I ask you if I can enter your house. If you say yes I come inside it. An illegal kicks down your door or busts out your window and forces they way into your home without permission and starts living in it at your expense. Do you see the difference?

    I’ll break it down for you. You can visit any country you want (with a few exceptions). Buy a round-trip plane ticket, and book a hotel. After that you need to apply for a visa. Most visa applications require you to provide your flight information and your accommodation address (eg: hotel). After +/- one week, if everything checks out, you will be granted a visa, allowing you to enter that country. Generally, speaking, visas are good for 30 days, by which time you need to leave the country. if you overstay, that country will come to find you and make you leave. This is how it has always worked, worldwide.

    The state of Georgia has I think 157 or 154 counties. They estimate 330,000 illegals in just Gwinnett County. I see new ones every single day. The city or Lawrenceville ( super blue city) gives them housing and pays them to be in the town. The city counsel members own tons of property and they get taxpayer cash allowing illegals to be in rental properties. When government tells you 10million illegals living in the USA... amplify that 10x.....you may get close to true numbers.

    Technically illegal immigration is not allowed. However, laws are not being enforced, and that's a bigger problem. In fact, Texas just tried to enforce immigration laws by protecting their border and the Biden admin threatened them to stop, it's kind of ridiculous. Democrats champion immigration and conflate illegal and legal immigration a lot. This drums up support from their base. Also remember that even if illegal immigrants can't vote, when the census is taken they are still counted in a district, and that's how that state can get more representatives. Not to mention unvetted criminals pose a risk to citizens, and illegal immigrants cost the taxpayers a lot of money (particularly those with kids who send them to public schools, take part in free meal programs, health care, etc.).

She will graduate college with her diploma in December this year. She wants to stay in the US, work, and build a life. So I applied for her green card. Its a 6 year wait. So a month after she graduates she will have to return back to Canada. So instead of keeping a Veterinary Tech and someone who eventually wants to become a full Vet , someone who will contribute to society - she is being kicked from the country while illegals are allowed to stay. Its aggravating and not ok that the ones , like myself and my daughter, who have done everything in the proper steps and paid thousands are being punished for it.

    Legal immigration is applying for citizenship and waiting for permission to enter, sometimes people are granted a temporary place to stay while political asylum is considered, but they are under watch and have to abide by limitations. The "illegal immigrants" everyone keeps talking about are people who sneak/are smuggled across the boarder. This is illegal in Every country. Nonetheless it occurs, that is why we have guards and now a partial wall on the southern border along with various technology. If the law and consequences for breaking them were enforced, we would be sending a LOT of people back to their countries of origin right now. There are multiple videos describing the crime, including squatting, rape and murders, especially in New York, which declared itself a "Sanctuary State" a few years back. California has similar major problems in it's "Sanctuary Cities". Imagine if your next door neighbor kicked your front door in, broke the window, and proclaimed themselves non-paying renters, and the mayor and police made you feed and house this guy and just told you to watch your back since he might be armed and mentally ill. That's basically what is happening with our national neighbors.

    Hey brother. So it is illegal. Some blue states practice not calling ICE even if here illegally. My best friend is from Austria. It took him years and 5000$ to come here. He had half a business waiting for him. Always worked always pay tax. He got married 17 years ago or else he would of had to go back. So turns out he loves his wife and made a nice life. My point is good ppl are having to pay lawyers and visas sucks but we need border security and he understands and now is angry his tax dollars are paying for illegal aliens

I thought just maybeeee that they were here illegally. Either the ones who didnt run had no idea what "ICE" meant or were here legally, they had gone thru the gauntlet and recieved their permits to live here as prescribed by law and had no reason to hide...

    Illegal immigration is when a non citizen comes across the border with no documentation. A refugee is someone that comes across due to circumstances causing them danger in their current country basically. There are laws in place to prevent people from crossing illegally and if caught, they are deported. However, the current administration is not enforcing those laws, which is allowing hundreds of thousands of people to come across and claim they are refugees, even if they aren't. The border is basically wide open and a free for all. They are allowing people to claim assulym and take advantage of asulym laws, which in turn really hurts those that are waiting to come legally and who are actual refugees. They need to close the border and fix the laws that are already on the books. Update the current legal immigration policy so it doesn't take so damn long. Instead of hiring all those IRS agents, perhaps they should have hired more immigration people.

    Pretty much no country allows people to enter their country illegally and just live there, except the US. Well, Canada apparently doesn't care, or they just don't care when it happens to the US, not sure. It's not that illegal immigration is technically 'allowed' but it is not being ENFORCED. People come over the border, make it to a city, and just start living and working, if they are found to not be citizens during that living and working they are pretty much being left alone. To be clear, when someone says they are an "asylum seeker" they are supposed to be able to prove at that moment that they are actually in danger of being killed by their government for their beliefs be it political or religious, thats what it means to be an asylum seeker, but the "asylum seekers" we have currently are NOT in danger from their government they just want to live a better life in the US, which we understand but that does not mean its ok to just run over the border to do it. That's like the "migrants", realize a 'migrant' is someone who comes and works, gets paid, then goes home with that money to help their family, again that's not whats happening with the "migrants" we have now they do not intend to go back.

  • @erinallport1

    Not to mention, an asylum seeker means that they are fleeing war, catastrophic events, and are literally fleeing because their life is endangered....and the laws state they need to go to the very NEXT country from theirs...they are not supposed to fly halfway across the world to the US and then claim they are in fear for their life! If they can get this far away from their home country, they are not poor asylum seekers 🤬

    There are two things at play here: laws that declare something to be illegal and the will to enforce those laws. We have the laws, just not the will, mainly because one side of the political spectrum thinks they can just import voters so they don't bother enforcing the law. Oh, and some on both sides of the aisle just love their nearly slave labor. Meanwhile the rest of us suffer due to increased crime and drug smuggling, but the politicians don't care as long as they can stay in power.

    So, as most people have observed, there is a push to change language. Those who are, technically, illegal immigrants, are being called “undocumented” or “asylum seekers”. It makes the way that they came into the country sound less illegal. Just as ped*philes are being called “minor attracted persons”, it’s to make the actions that were done out to be less wrong. Just saying “undocumented” should be understood as “illegal” because law says that visitors/immigrants must be documented. Now, “asylum seeker” is the emotional label, as it infers that the person has suffered unjustly and just wants peace. Well, probably at least half the “asylum seekers” who have entered our country have not sought peace. Have definitely not sought to contribute to society - on the contrary they aim to take from society and only give back a single word: “asylum”.
