The "Yellow and Black Attack" was re- released in 1986 with a new cover and a an extra track "Reason for the Season" which came from their 2 song Chrismas EP. The other track on that EP was a "Winter Wonderland" cover. The orginal version of "Yellow and Black Attack" came out in 1984!

Two songs come to mind during that “familiar” riff…. Iron Maiden’s “Hallowed Be Thy Name” and The Cars “Moving in Stereo” synth riff

While Styper albums are good, there's just something missing from them. And you know I came up with it while at the Judas Priest concert last night (!0/29/22) Priest played a lot of their older tunes and during the solos both guitarists trade off solos and sometime played harmonized solos. Nothing like Tipton and Downing. Well if you go back to those first albums that is what you got with guitar solos from Stryper. It was their signature sound. That's gone away. Like I said their newer albums are good but it's this trading solos, harmonizing solos that put them over the top of anyone else at that time.

I had the same feeling about the opening riff/chorus melody… it is either borrowing from something we’ve heard before or is so good that we think we’ve heard it before, but haven’t… I have seen them twice- 2003 and 2005 and even caught a bible… i met them both times… Robert is weird, but that’s ok… pretty sure I told Michael I’m an atheist 😆 this new album is not as strong as the previous/recent releases

They are a hit and a miss sometimes with me grew up with the band my dad was a huge in the Christian music world back and the day seen the band like 5 times in concert but that was back in the 80’s. I do love there music but not all of there music. Would have to say I have a tone of mix cds from the early 90’s with there music on it as well as holy soldiers whitecross etc so I’m still a fan
