I agree, a lot of the lyrics are deciphered, I'm like just say it, don't have to hide what you believe...Stryper was able to do this, they were open about their faith and gain an audience both Christian and secular.

@JoviAero I agree they are both great, the difference is that Stryper's (and Petra's) lyrics were out there in regards of delivering the message. Many of the new Christian bands the message has to be deciphered. (I hope I am understood)

@JoviAero I was surprised to find Skillet classified as metal, but I assume that they did come out of the grunge/hard rock scene. I'm supposing if you listen to their earlier sounds that Skillet is closer to the metal scene than rock. But judging by their new album they've taken a more alt rock style. But, heck, I love both bands.

@MnkyKng on the contrary, Christians take responsibility for an evil world. we understand that the reason for all the problems in this world is our own actions and hateful thinking. we carry on, trying to do the best we can and trusting in God's forgiveness. in God we trust (rock on stryper!) atheists, on the other hand, would claim that there is nothing morally wrong with the world. whatever happens, happens. you don't have a philosophical base to begin telling me what responsibility even is!

Well I'd say this song for sure, I always thought it sucked. I felt their earlier works were better. I was a big rock fan in the early/mid 80s as a teen. Becoming a Christian didn't stop the need for rock in a 16 year old! Stryper and a few others rocked well and in my opinion faired good among my AC/DC, Styx, Pink Floyd etc. You don't have to be a Satanist to think God or Jesus doesn't need to be in 'everything'. LOL. I don't think God would be offended....
