I can honestly say that through bands like Stryper that I have dealt with many symptoms of depression, PTSD (two time war vet), I know where the true strength lies- both in me and the help from OUR Lord- Jesus Christ!!

from all the years of hurt and pain in my life from a loss of a brother to my parents getting divorced my life has been a total change to all the pain as i see the life in the lord by hearing the words of god that makes me feel proud of be alive to keep me going on. thank you Jesus for keeping moving on with my life.

Great song with great vocal. My older sister got me into heavy metal of the 80's, all kinds of it. She still listens to it. I came here today to reminisce about the great 80's. I miss it so much. Long live the 80's.

80's music has so much more soul than today's music. Another great band was KING's X.

This song has had a very special meaning for me and my sister for 25 years. She was suffering from severe depression and had thought about taking her own life. One day, while I was at school, she put this song in the tape player. It saved her life! Now 25 years later, she is a happy, healthy Woman of Faith. Miracles do happen. We are both living proof!

This is such a beautiful song by Stryper. It's a great song to listen to, especially when things aren't going well, and you need a friend. Sometimes I feel depressed and alone. I know I have wonderful friends on KZread. So that keeps me going. And I have a wonderful wife and 5 year old grandaughter.

Yup--these guys were one of the first to REALLY crossover, with several vids on MTV. This song STILL holds up well too!

I sang this @ our wedding in 1988 in a Lutheran church before I walked down the aisle. I don't think people had a clue that it was a Christian metal band. We loved this group!!!

Listening to this, thinking of my precious mommy right now. Lost her on jan. 23rd. Crying, but I realize she's happy and out of pain now. She was only 43 :(

Since God is love... a song about love (his true love) it beautiful...I belive there will be music and singing in heaven. I once wanted to be a rock star and I felt that God wanted to sing for him..I have given him my voice to use for his purpose and I've never been more fufilled singing. Even Paul and Silas sang to God in Acts 16:25 And David sang and played instruments praising God.

I met my wife in 1988, we was married in July 1992 and she passed on Oct 17th 2014.. This was one of 5 songs we played at her funeral. It was one of her favorite songs..

I am so sorry about your wifes' passing, I lost my younger brother on 7-5-16 in an automobile accident after we lived in the same house for 46 yrs...now I have 8 dogs..4 adults and 4 puppies to keep my company,..:).. although, I have no one to talk to when I get off work..:(.

I went to Stryper in 1986 In Vancouver It was Amazing No Drugs or Booze It was the best Concert I've ever been to,They even threw out NIV Bibles hallway through the show

Me and my brother and sisters would ride around in my oldest sisters car in the colony (TX), I was young and thought it was the coolest thing ever. That was about 25 years ago... Song still reminds me of when we would all pile into a car just to get anything from the grocery so we could feel cool! Love it!

I was one of those 80's teens that this band touched :-)

Hard to believe they are Christian rock!awesome we need more of that now days

This song I dedicated long ago to a friend who ended up becoming my lover. We are no longer together, but still remain friends. Today is my birthday and she played this today at work and started to cry. The reason she played it again was because about 7 months ago I was asked to play drums for this cover and Dirty Deeds by AC/DC. I heard my ex and friend was there. Mind you we have not seen each other in a long time because, well, long story. Anyways the band had the lights off on me and invited her up on stage. Told her this was a special request. Asked is she remembers the person who dedicated it to you. Tears started to form and she said my name. She stood up there in front of me not knowing I was there yet. As they started to play and when I kicked in on the drums they turned on the spot light. The singer and guitarist had her turn around only to see me. She started BALLING!!! She just sat and watched me play. It was like we were in a moment together..Afterwards she gave me a huge hug. Said she made a huge mistake and has known this for a long time. Was a perfect ending to a great show. So now we are still just friends but it brought us even closer. Sad thing is I won't try anything or attempt to date her again. She married and isn't happy, but I'm not a home wrecker. I'm happy for her and that's where it will stay.
