STRUT BRACE install & interior repairs Integra Type R - Honda DC2 OEM Restoration JDM Acura

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In today's episode I replace the "Spoon" after market front and rear strut braces with the OEM Honda front strut brace. Before I could replace the OEM rear damper maintenance lids I show how I repair the interior trim side panels. I demonstrate the use of 3M 04247 Super Fast Plastic Repair epoxy and 3M 05907 Polyolefin Adhesion Promoter. I paint the repaired area with Transtar 2 in 1 satin black paint. OEM FTW on this classic Japanese car. The Honda Integra DC2 Type R needs to be preserved and enjoyed as the classic it is now recognised as. If you enjoy this type of video let me know in the comments. This car is my Honda Type R OEM build. There's still a few mods to be removed and more tidying up on the car is needed. Some people call these classics a DC2R so I'll write that and ITR in here along with Acura which might help our North American friends find my videos. I know sometimes my videos are very basic but hopefully they will help some people and I like to document what I do to the car with video while trying to be creative Most of the time I do everything here myself which is a big job and its hard to remember everything, But I shoot most of this stuff with my old iPhone and sometimes my old GoPro. The Pieces to camera I film with my Canon 5D so I don't use video cameras at all. Although I would love to get one one day and get a Gimbal too which will open up a lot of creative shots in future videos.

Hi. The OEM Honda bar from the factory looks to have a clear coat on the metal so it doesn't oxidise/corrode. You could cut back the clear coat and polish the alloy bar but it would go white/grey soon after if you didn't clear it again.

@@danielfluet7487 no probs mate. I always reply. You will probably need to replace the “Type R” decal too for that super professional look. Get a new decal while they are still available.

I bought two oem strut bars this week😂 gonna slap one in the back with the tegiwa brackets. I live in Montreal Canada , and i was lucky to find them both for great deals!
