Since the release of CyberPunk 2077 Patch 2.12a, my PC has struggled to run the game properly. Even in a vanilla state, severe stuttering occurred, making it impossible to walk around, complete missions, or do side quests due to the instability. Although the average FPS was around 80, it could drop by half depending on the location, weather, and time of day. My PC has an RTX 4070 with 12GB of VRAM and 32GB of memory. With this spec, the previous version (2.11) had no issues playing and recording at 3440x1440, but the new patch caused severe problems. I carefully selected mods and thoroughly researched and adjusted the settings. Finally, I managed to play and record simultaneously. For regular gameplay, 2560x1440 WQHD is the limit for stable performance, but recording at the same time made it unplayable. So, I lowered the resolution for recording, allowing me to capture the gameplay at good quality. I play and record at 1920x1080 and set the recording FPS to 60 in OBS. Currently, Cyberpunk becomes extremely heavy with ray tracing enabled. It seems that playing in 4K is difficult unless you have an RTX 4090 with more than 12GB of VRAM. It's a truly demanding game. I'm too scared to go to Dogtown.
