You did a great job. Societal standards always make things extra. Like instead of it being a growing and protective style, ots about how much edge control you put before parting, and how carefully you have to braid so they all look uniform. Like ijs cause ive done box braids before, and even if their cute to me; there's a stylist or a stylist child to criticize my work

I agree. I will part my hair to be sure I dont have hairs caught that might snap but everything extra and unnecessary, I just don't do.
