If you are too injured to win, you lost plain and simple. There is no but. Because managing your injuries is very much a competitive part of the sport. Martins destroyed everyone on Wheel of pain at arnolds, and got 2nd there. While Brian was not even top 5. Martins is legit strong, but I think his secret weapon is intelligence and humility.

Yea there has been a legit shift in strong men who also train athleticism and try to avoid being overly fat. They figured out the little bit of raw strength they sacrifice is more than made up for with the boost in speed endurance and ability to recover

TBF Through out the 9 years they competed, Thor placed 5 times higher than Shaw while Shaw placed 4 times. Fortunately for Shaw, he managed to win overall in those 4 times he was placed higher than Thor while it's only once for Thor

@@abhijithanilkumar4959 with 7 figures in one night which is probably the same or less than what Shaw made through out his career as a strongman with healthier diet and safer training. I think Thor will see this as an absolute win seeing he already won all the major titles already and having 2 of the most important strongman record (raw {elephant bar} and equipt deadlift world record before quiting)

Thor actually has 10 major titles, not just the 1 wsm Brian mentioned, wsm is only one comp, quite petty of Brian to be honest

Who has won more WSM titles though? You can talk about records and wins in other strongman competitions all you want but he was talking about WSM.

JF Caron reminds me of Santi Cazorla for some reason but 3x the size lol
