@@ralfburon6179 Yeah, I looked but didn't find video, he was closer than Mitch got and did clap pull ups. Licis said in his video that the heaviest he was for a muscle up was 310 lbs, so must have been a while back.

I saw olekseii once explaining that you shouldn't look up at the dumbell as you push it up, he always is looking forward until the end

Yeah, looking up risks turning your body too, which makes you lose stability.
Dmitry Klokov has being doing CrossFit a few years now. 190kg thrusters and handstand walking, the guy is amazing. Plus bar and ring muscle ups.
Way to go Mitch! Out of your comfort zone and killing it!
A comment for the algorithm, I'm going to suggest as a challenge, Seeing the Moose Pole Dancing should be fun. (It would have to be a bloody scaffolding pole mind) . :) I'm under no illusion he will probably knock it out of the park. :) Go moose. :)

Brilliant CrossFit / Strongman crossovers are awesome! Both crazy athlete in their own right. That muscle up is there with a bit of practice. Defo going to give that workout a try!

This was fun to watch 😂 I’m the only strength athlete in a gym full of CrossFitters so this is super relatable. It’s fun to throw down with them. You did great 🙌 Such a quick learner!

Good stuff. How do you think "marathon Mitch" would've done in cross fit? Emma seems like such a genuinely nice person in all of the videos I've ever seen her in. With her level of success at her early age it would be easy to let it go to her head and it seems like it hasn't. Any chance of a collab with Tia and Shane while you're in Australia (assuming they're there and not back in Nashville)?

Mitch, if you want to get better at getting under the dumbbell like you mentioned at 1:10 in the video, try doing windmills with a kettlebell. Windmills will help with shoulder strength and stability and also make getting into that position a lot less uncomfortable. Also bent presses with a kettlebell could help

Dude. I reckon an hour of 1 to 1 coaching with a good coach and you'll be doing muscle ups. PLEASE keep going with them - what a party trick that would be 😅🙌
Best part was that even though you're an absolute giant schmeat of a man, you make those cute little t-rex hands during the dumbbell snatch
Turkish get ups Mitch, will help get used to the position. Then think in your mind about getting under the weight rather than pressing the weight.
Yeah the best monster dumbbell guys like Oleksii seem to thrust the dumbbell about 85% the way up and then get the centre of their body underneath it and squat it up the rest of the way up. If you can master that technique you'll be among the best monster dumbbell pressers and have that event be one of your strengths.

I actually love the sport of sumo, and strongmen are obviously built for it, but it's one of the most injury prone sports in existence. I dont think anyone should give it a try on a whim, unless you've got a huge foam pit nearby.
