Gloom is cool for the Dim Vision proc, but I didn't list it because I have never used Gloom. Smoke and Lionheart are very similar, even better in some cases and much cheaper. Should've mentioned it still I suppose.

Hey man, I love your videoes. I was wondering if you could do one where you gamble circlets. They can be pretty good, and I always use all my gold on it. So far I have gotten some really good ones. However Id like to see, 100 circlet gambles or something like that, on a high level charater. They always spawn with interesting stats.

Obedience is my favourite merc weapon. It's cheap, easy to make, and amazing all round, with the res and CB. Choosing between that and Insight is always difficult, because I really like Meditation, too. Merc with Obedience boosted by Fanaticism or Concentration will easily take on Hell Ball.

It's a shame you don't put up more videos. They're good. You should keep doing it :)

Gloom is interesting. Dim Vision apparently shuts down ranged attackers and even apparent prevents certain monsters from using special attacks, like blood lords frenzy. It kinda expensive though

Used a couple of those runewords on a mld smiter years back. Treachery and oath were a great combo. Get that fade proc with vamp gaze and string of ears and youre at max damage reduction which bowzons absolutely hated. Still have my collection of lvl 95+ ears on my lvl 49 smiter :)

friend and I had a harmony rogue merc and insight spear merc, loads of fun in tandem.

Sanctuary looks quite nice. I have a Mossers already so I'm ok for the resistances but the recovery and the missile defence looks very handy. I may have to spunk my first Mal rune on that!

I never thought of using lionheart as a merc armor... it would be useful for meeting that tough strength requirement for a CV, however I'm not sure if you would be better off using a griswold's or not since it has the strength bonus and can be socketed with Um rune and 15 IAS jewels that rolled enhanced damage that's no higher than 34 percent or so. Still it's an interesting consideration

Nice work Indrek ! didn't notice you posted a video or i would have watch it way earlier :D I still play diablo 2 when i go time, i am also trying lots of different build, only on monoplayer, i use a program to get insane big space in chest and also share chest, so i can get all the unique weapons. also farming act 3 low kurast epic chests for runes, i got some vex runes ists easily also :)

Quick question about d2. Why do the pit viper in halls of vaught nearly always instakill you? Been trying to grind keys but their such a huge pain

I think the damage Vipers deal is bugged and it ticks physical damage faster than it should. It only ticks when you walk through it. You're fine if you stand still. It also triggers when mercenary walks through it. You can counter the damage if you get flat or % damage reduction.

you can use a rune word that equip thorns aura like edge or bramble against that kind of foes, i used the combat act 2 merc nightmare with that aura and it worked me against dolls in act 3, it might be useful for you

Very nice runeword list, buddy. I am always lucky with Obedience and Lawbringer runewods to have created them on Nightmare difficulty. :)

Easy, by getting non eth tier 2 Battle Scythe or Partizan, then socket recipe from the cube. Even Grief is possible to create in Nightmare - Baal's minions can drop a Lo rune in Nightmare difficulty.

For normal difficulty fastest way to clear is Wake of Fire. Build Stealth and Leaf runeword while leveling. You get to respec once from Akara in each difficulty so you can respec out of Wake of Fire to lightning traps after completing normal and doing some normal Baal runs.

Shaftstop > Stone. Shaft should be easier to find than runes required by Stone. And Shaft gives 30% dr. 30% dr looks better to me than defense. Obedience don't have %life stolen per hit and crushing blow doesn't do much. It's fun to make Obedience, but it's not that useful. It can be harder to find good base for Obedience than Reaper's Toll, and i don't think that merc even with perfect Obedience in perfect base can output same damage as merc with the worst possible Reaper's Toll. Bone. Is it really better than Vipermagi?

Yes, that's why I mostly play single player.

I pretty much stick to Stone for my Mercs, if you need your merc to kill for you, well, you might be playing a gimpy build or fighting mobs you should skip. Why Stone? 60% FHR. If you have life leach on your merc, the only thing that can easily kill him is stun lock, also, he is not hitting if he is getting stun locked, so Fortitude doesn't do crap if he can't actually fight. Stone or Treachery? I don't tend to use Andy's, but you can also use Duress with Kira's getting them cannot be Frozen is a huge boon. The great thing about Stone is the godly defense, and I use Defiance mercs for every character except the Hammerdin (Holy Freeze) and Bowie.(Might), I do not play necros. Treachery is good when the Fade goes off, but I tend to have maxed resists without it, which means your merc is only getting 15% Reduced damage, but that's phys damage. It is a good armor, but it's not my favourite. I know you mentioned all this, but the merc breakpoint for FHR is at 60 then 86, Stone gets him to the second highest breakpoint he can get I think.

Oath is indestructible and ethereal weapons have more damage.

Ethreal means 50% increased base stats. For weapons thats damage, for armor its armor rating. You cannot repair eth items so the only time they are used is a) with a zod rune or a runeword involving zod, b) on a merc because they do not use durability, or c) on caster weapons. They dont use durability unless you swing, and sometimes you just find an eth base before you find a non eth base.

Completely forgot about wealth and made a 4 perf topaz armor for 96 mf : ) me wants a skullders :)

Lionheart is much much better for fury druid than smoke. Fury druid doesn't get IAS from gloves or chest, only weapon. Also the 50 life then is more than 100 in werewolf form. Obviously lionheart isn't better for everyone in every situation.

What do you think about bone armor? Im trying to put together a fury druid and rn im just running treachery for fade resists. Otherwise im big negative res.

@@unsubme2157 bone armor seems like it has nothing for a druid besides the resistances. Also the 2 um runes seems expensive. If you were really in a bind use a yellow armor, add a socket from the shenk quest and toss an um rune in that. +Life is big for shape shifters with the lyncanthropy multiplying life. I have a few hardcore fury druids. I stack resistances, life, and damage reduction in that order.
