  if you are going to attempt segmented run, you can use way point warping - which that run you are talking about - you can reset the maps until the way points move from the entrance to exit of the areas over and over again - then you won't need to stutter port or get tele charges.

  Curious - why convert after Act I instead of after Act I NM or later? Just not sure what advantage you're getting in Act 1 being in classic. I could understand preserving static strength in later difficulties or skipping Act V - but not sure the reasoning behind this routing for converting after Andy. Could you please explain?

  It's used for better FCR ring/amulet drop chance. Classic doesn't have charms, jewels and these kind of items share the loot table with rings and amulets. By starting in clsssic the loot table that the game rolls drops from is smaller and the quantity of ring and amulet drops is noticeably higher. Convert after andy/duriel in order to get runes for Stealth and so on. However the new route stays in classic all the way to hell diablo and then converts.

  The new route makes a lot more sense to me, but if the concern is jewelry, I always feel like hitting the poppables in the catacombs on P8 yields a lot of FCR pieces if you are diligent while exploring

  I don't know what the game creators have been smoking to make a runeword like spirit, so overpowered at lvl 25 even if its an end game item basically. 1.09 version was the most balanced item wise.

  It's ladder only, it's used in D2R where ladder runewords are enabled, but original d2 didn't let you make them in SP.

  love watching your runs, quick question is there anyways to reset normal maps in d2r? or do u have to run to jail wp or inner cloister walk backwards and pray for a champion setup? if no setup reset?

  In d2r this method is possible: www.speedrun.com/d2r/thread/0zudp However community didn't like the idea and it's not allowed if you want to submit as speedrun. Without -resetofflinemaps it's not possible to reset the map until you complete normal difficulty.
