    I swear by cold therapy since Wim Hof turned me onto it. Cold tip: Buy the large reusable ice blocks for ice chests. Depending on how cold you want your water, you can get by with as low as six refreezable blocks. Fill your tub with cold water and then add the blocks. When you're done, wipe off the blocks and put them back in the freezer.

    I don't trust him, hes been asked a couple of times already even on tv what it is in cold therapy that is good for your body and hes only answer is some random thing about how he takes a ice bath. He is like a car dealer having no idea about cars but still suggesting the most expensive overpriced fiat.

    Would like to try this, living in Barbados even water from the tap isn't as cold as what you'd need to experience that shock. When surfing in Australia, I remember every time I duck dived I couldn't breathe it was so cold. But that was in Victoria during the winter.

However, after watching your video, I'm determined to blast myself with icy water for at least a minute to start with. Thank you for that really informative and motivational report! I thought about starting cold-showers or dips since some time as I heared it can have pyhsical and psychical good effects. You put this all together so well, it's really motivational! In general I like your clips and information a lot, even though me as a 48yo gorilla have a way to go until I can do even parts of your fitness flows ... :D You're mentioning topics that really concern me personally (slow metabolism and easy infectiveness), sooo ... my tomorrows shower will be turned to the left side and I will yell out my family, but ... that will be their part when I'm doing something for my body xD Thank you again and have good times :)

Also, there are different practices for different goals.

    I'm always the one that warms up the bed, never got trouble with cold in the winter. But funny thing is I hate nothing as much as a cold shower... It is all about your body being confortable at some temprature and that is what is bad for you. While doctors don't fully understand it yet, they do know ... ^ ... and being at extreme tempratures no matter if it is hot or cold breaks that. I'm from the netherlands so there is 9 months of cold & wet weather anyway and maybe 1 month of hot.

    Hi Zuzaka. This is Ark, and I have just discovered your channel a week ago. I have been watching a few videos about nutrition, habits, and training from years ago and have commented there. I am amazed and surprised, that we both share a similar approach to wellness: body, mind and spirit. I have, of course, used cold showers for years on a regular basis. I tried plunging in the bucket as well but I don't shiver. I wonder if I need to lower the temperature or sit in longer. I use 55 degrees water and stay for 5 minutes. Showers take about 2-3 minutes. If I don't shiver, Am I still getting the benefit? Anyway, my brother and I run a Complete Warrior Fitness gym in Chicago. We also have a youtube channel that we started a little over a year ago. Maybe you like our content too. Feel the Power! Let's do this!

  • @ZuzkaLight

    @ZuzkaLight

    10 ай бұрын

    If you can sit in 55 degrees for 5 minutes with no shivering after, then you're not getting the amount of stress for the beneficial adaptations. At least not as much. I would decrease the temperature. My cold plunge is always between 44 and 48 degrees. If I don't do jumping jacks after the plunge, my body shivers for 30 minutes :)
