    Yeah its a tough call... Gymaholic, Strong, and Hevy would have to be my top 3 apps for logging workouts, with Hevy taking the lead. Out of all 3, Hevy is the one that I have seen the most growth from, while Strong hasn't changed much in the past year, and Gymaholic just added cloud sync which for me is a very important feature to have. Also the iOS only format is a bit of an issue assuming you don't want to be married to apple products for the remainder of your lifting life, lol. With that said Gymaholic has a pretty sick looking UI and the green and black go great together. Also tons of features and options. However if you are looking for a free option then Hevy cannot be beat, seeing they are the most functional app out of the 3 in its free state. Again, you cannot go wrong with any of these three options. 👊🏻👊🏻

    I used to switch between Strong and Strongur but now that my sons have started lifting I have started using Gymaholic for all 3 of us. I wish or hope Gymaholic will add some features that Strong had like the widgets. My boys just started working out and I think they would dig it if they can see how far they have come.

    Hey there Elio, glad you enjoyed the review. Actually I never used the Apple Watch version of the Gymaholic app so I would not know. I know the apple watch versions of these sort of apps can be confusing. I would imagine there has to be a way. I know it took me a while to figure it out while using Hevy on my Apple Watch, but in the end I figured it out. Unfortunately it has been so long since I used the Apple Watch with Hevy that I do not recall how I did it, lol. Does swiping back on the screen do it? Is there a back button somewhere on the screen? Sorry I cannot be more help on this. 👊👊

    @@AJFaithFitness swiping back only brings to the section to finish the workout. I don’t think the fail option in the workout is the way to go. I love the Gymaholic app but can’t figure this one out.

  • @AJFaithFitness

    I installed the app and gave it a whirl. If you swipe left to right on the watch face you get a menu with 4 options, (edit sets, details, end, and pause). By selecting "edit sets" then tapping on the set you accidentally logged, you can then change the weight, reps, and even delete the set altogether. You could always delete the set from this screen, return to the main edit sets screen and scroll down to the bottom and add another set by tapping add sets. Hope that helps Elio 👊👊

    @@AJFaithFitness Thanks for trying. I know you can edit and delete. What I di t know is if after logging the set, if I change the weighty or rep count, will it update? Will it add/subtract the new input automatically?

  • @AJFaithFitness

    @AJFaithFitness

    2 жыл бұрын

    It should update yes. The way I understand it the app on the watch only syncs back to your phone once you tap complete on the workout. With that said, even if you noticed an error after the fact, you could always find the workout within your history on the iPhone version of gymaholic, edit that workout, hit save and the changes should carry over. Whatever edits are made always will replace the previous data entered. Hope that helps.

    Gymaholic is on another level in my opinion. Wayyyy more exercise variations. And the Apple Watch is spot on. I love how quickly you change sets, weights etc. With strong on the Apple Watch - to change weight for say 5 different sets I’ll have to go in one by one… takes a lot of time. Thanks for your feedback. Maybe I am a robot? I suppose one will never truly know? Thanks for the tip on the watch app battle, and agree it would make for a nice comparison. In past experience I found the Gymaholic watch app more stable, and more incline with the apple ecosystem rather than the Strong one. The Strong one has crashed on me a few times, and it has a feature where you can adjust the rest timer with the crown of the apple watch. As far as I can tell, no way to turn this off, and I keep hitting the crown which keeps changing the timer. Gymaholic takes it hands down in my opinion compared to Strong.
