I didn't know his name but I heard his music when I was younger, it was so nostalgic. This guy , sorry The one and only Stromae is a genius, I discovered him from his latest music which was a piece of art, a true legend, I would pay to go to his concert if I could.

I saw this exact concert in a small venue with 500 people in my city (Cologne) back then, and it just blew my mind. It‘s incredible that this works exactly the same when filling an entire stadium with 20k+ people. I so much adore this guy - he puts so much meaning in everything he produces. His music is fantastic, his lyrics are genius, his live performances are next level entertainment and the definition of creativity. I hope he will be around many more decades to entertain us. @@DaRo-qv6ve It was on February 3rd, 2014 at lovely Gloria theatre in Köln. Best concert ever - basically the same show as the Racine Carree live concert on youtube, just in a tiny club. Stromae is such a beautiful artist - he so much cares about his audience, he treats his band well, he has so much creativity and such a positive spirit. I wish him all the best. And ps - yes, I got my ticket too for Lanxess Arena in May 2023.

Stromae is undoubtedly a musical genius, and proof of that is this amazing concert.

You know you're on something big when the band introductions are better than 99% of music production these days.

I feel that what makes Stromae so much better than many mainstream American/British musical artists is that he is not afraid to push people's comfort zones, he does not 'cap' his creativity, he does not put out what he thinks 'others' want to hear; he puts out what he wants to show. Music is an art, and art is creativity, but music has been so irredeemably commercialized. He, however, still treats it as an art.

I'll be the first to admit I don't speak french fluently or even all that well but from what i do know the subtitles have seemed as accurate as possible considering things can't always be directly translated

I'm learning French right now and I suggest to use Duolingo. Its completely free to use (theres some extra stuff you can buy, but you don't need it). They offer more stuff on the computer, but you can still learn from the app. My cousin also suggested Memrise but I haven't checked it out yet

The only one who sings about peace, cancer and other world issues without falling into the trap of boredom. Very fun and I liked it a lot

This is otherworldly. ¡QUÉ ESPECTACULAZO! The singing, the songs themselves, the performance, the dancing, the stage presence, the storytelling, the musicians, the light show, the stage production, the audience. It’s absolutely everything. I bet most of the people that were present there remember this as one of their best experiences in life. I don’t have the words in either English, Spanish nor French to express how insane this is. What an absolute gem to have found on a random Thursday night.

I agree! He doesn't need a crew of dancers to capture the audience's attention for 2 hours straight. It's the creativity and hard work he puts into one concert that really does make the audience go wow!

He's an actual genius, I'm honestly used to concerts with a lot of backup dancers and super flashy but he's entertaining all on his own.

In pandemic I watched it a lot of times. Stromae helped me to learn french using his art, besides calming me down when I didn't know if we would survive the pandemic. Your work is so important to us ❤

I was at that concert with my girlfriend at the time, we're married now. She introduced me to his music. She's French and I was learning French at the time, but still loved it and will never forget that night.

Tariq it took me about a year where I was comfortable to speak. I had mainly two ways I did it, and they were dulingo and my wife. I would use dulingo on my free time, mainly at night. It just depends on how much you want to learn. My tip is to find something like dulingo and use it everyday and watch French movies

I've never looked into his music and now I regret that! I only knew him through Alors on Danse (which I never cared for) but now that I see the translation, and how awesome his lyrics are for House/dance music, I think he's brilliant! What a truly entertaining concert, can't believe it was nearly a decade ago! Hope I could see him now, and I'll learn French just to sing along 😆

2am: I'm in bed and for some weird reason I decide to shuffle my main spotify playlist. Papaoutai comes on and I feel the hype. 2.30am: After exploring some other songs with Stromae I think "I wonder how a concert with this guy would be" so I youtube it to see how he performs live. 4.30am: I ended up watching the whole video and looking for tickets to his next concert.

One of the few concerts where the actor singing live actually hits the keys and sounds amazing

The best concerts the world had.

Stromae will go down as one of the best european artists of all time. Nobody does it like him. How unique and still so catchy all of his music is, his videoclips, his live performances and also the way he promotes his music it’s all so revolutionary and refreshing. Paul, you’re an unbelievable artist!

Yes!! Especially now, knowing how much shot he has gone through with mental illness it's so wonderful seeing the crowd make him smile. He's said he doesn't like being famous, that fans overwhelm him, but this moment they made him happy!

Dana González you should see a twenty one pilots concert...

I lost 60 kilos by dancing to his sound. I was highly depressed and didn't come out of bed or my room. Now I've been travelling with a backpack, dancing whereever I go to his sound. Thanks @Stromae for the energy, inspiration and motivation.

Tiza123m He did sell out Madison Square garden. I saw him 3 time in concert in the states. He has a lot of fans here. Sadly, Americans taste in music is mostly trash, which is why I'm watching this again instead of listening to the radio. I've been a fan since 2010. His music is like therapy sometimes. Just puts me in a better mood.

Tariq you are right, it is about exposure, I come from an anglophone state and I never heard of stromae till I went to live in a francophone state, it was unbelievable how many good artists and songs have never been heard by english speakers. A new world was opened to me I started listening to so called “world” music. The sad thing is that anglophone people think they are on top of the arts world with their one view on arts but, the francophones are very advanced in the arts and entertainment. They know and listen to anglophone, and lusophone artists yet we just listen to anglophone and spanish artists. My point is if we are not exposed we will just be reading about good artists after they are gone.

He's basically one of the only French artists people know in the states though. My best friend who hates the French language listens to a few of his songs (which she found on her own) I think he made it pretty well considering he had artists like sia wanting to work with him.
