So this is what I gather from this interview: Stromae is Belgian, who grew up around Turks, Moroccans, Congolese, and Rwandans, loves LA weather, speaks French, Flemish, Spanish and English, is inspired by Japanese, Ethiopian and South American music, collaborates with Chinese musicians, would like to work with Colombian, American and English singers, enjoyed performing in Montreal (Canada), and loves Mexican food. A real man of the world.

Technically it is quite random. Belgium is a small country that hardly comes up in international news.

As a fairly new fan of Stromae I have to say I’m quite surprised by how incredibly down to earth, humble, honest & relaxed he seems in this video. Very impressed with multi-linguistic skills. He also doesn’t seem to take himself too seriously like some artists have a tendency to do these days. Terrific video!

It's cool to watch his English getting better over time, especially now that he's really blowing up in English-speaking countries.

I'm a huge fan of Stromae, I might even say I have seen almost all his interviews available. But this one has to be one of the most interesting/fun cause it seems like a very casual coffee conversation. It was a very insightful interview and learned more about my favorite artist. Merci Fuse!

Thats because we dutch/Belgium people have English in our standard class package in school..we learn English before any other language

In the 7 years I've listened to his music this is the first time I've heard him speak english, it's so good!

As a Dutch person hearing him talk Dutch I was AMAZED AT STROMAE

5:50 i've never seen an interview that touches this topic, the bad aspects of being a human being and accepting that you are wrong but can change direction, i appreciate Stromae for being so honest here, each time i learn more about him i realise he is an incredible artist, really someone to look up to!

The music is fantastic but the lyrics did me in. If you don't understand french and think Stromae is just party music... You're wrong. His raps are super real; goosebumps and tears real. I compare him (like many do and was not my idea) to Jacques Brel. Glad to have this icon back on the scene

Incredible video for sure, but not so simple to shoot. It was in fact quite difficult and a huge risk for him to expose himself like that in public, and he has said that he felt really nervous before the shoot and even depressed after...So yeah, an extraordinary music video but not his favourire to shoot!🙂😅

This man is so devoted to his craft and his wife - he gets it. I hope he writes a book one day. He has a lot to say and I think the World wants to hear it💜

This video just made me a bigger fan of Stromae. He is so kind, humble, and honest. I have a great deal of respect of him as an artist. Praying he gets his collab with Adele.

Two things: 1. 5:47 this was SO profound that I had to think it over a couple of times 2. I’m so glad he mentioned the Montreal crowd as his favorite because I must’ve watched this concert five times and it’s seriously one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, just on KZread. Watch it ASAP if you like Stromae.

the struggle with anxiety and suicidal thoughts were triggered by a medicine he took to prevent malaria when he was on the African leg of his tour (if not mistaken, it happened in Rwanda, the country of his father).

So rarely get to hear him share his life in English, great video! Love him and his music has greatly helped my French acquisition 💞
