Stevie Ray was most comfortable and creative in a live setting. He had faced the scrutiny of a live audience for years. You had to be good or lose your chance to play. But he seemed to remember everyone he respected and wanted to help them when he became successful. Damn, the tooth came right out . Very fitting.

Never be sorry for showing your true feelings and emotions, that just shows people your genuine heart and how sweet you are. I've been a huge Stevie Ray fan for many years, the first time I watched him play I was totally hooked and I seriously listen to him everyday, he calms me when I need to sit and take a breather and picks me up when I'm down. True genius miss you Stevie Ray Vaughan 😢

I remember this song at Red Rocks. The lights of Denver in the distance, good friends sitting near me, watching and hearing this guy go. Hate to admit he's made me cry, too. You used the word "gifted." Straight up. Our group of friends loved SRV from the jump and were out ahead of our peers in doing so. His music is timeless and I hope to see him in eternity playing in the worship band.

It's a song he wrote for his friend & guitar tech Charley Wirz, after his passing. Charley made the white guitar, which is named 'Charley', & is the guitar SRV plays when performing this song in his remembrance.

@@luminoxx5150 My pleasure. It's both sad and beautiful to me. Crying-out to his lost friend through the guitar his friend made for him. In interviews, SRV speaks in a reverent tone about how important an influence he was, like a father figure. The other person being his friend and mentor, Albert King. Both important since SRV's biological father having been abusive to him. So he sings: "Angels have waited for so long, now they have their way, take your place" (among them)

I've seen this video countless time and it still Brings tears to my eyes. Stevie had a rough life. He almost died from drugs and alcohol abuse. The bass player Tommy Shannon was his best friend and had maybe worse. They both went into rehab in the fall of 1986. Stevie used to thank God for being alive and well at this time in the song. He helped many people come into sobriety. He was a humble and gentle man and as much as I love his guitar and so ging...He is my favorite. I just love the man more. Tommy Shannon always wants people to know this about Stevie.

At 9:15 in the song you can see him looking around after he played with his teeth, he’s looking for one of his false teeth that fell out. At 9:30 you can see him saying my tooth is gone… The song was written for Charlie Wirz who owned Charlie’s Guitar shop in Dallas Texas. Charlie made that guitar and gave it to Stevie. After Charlie died Stevie wrote this song.

He wrote this song in honor of his good friend and guitar guy Charlie who passed away from heart attack. Now the little talk near the end that is how Stevie was he really believed in helping anyone he could he was humble and kind hearted never let the success go to his head also if you noticed close to the end when he played with his teeth he started looking around that is because he broke his tooth and mouthed tooth gone

This is one of my fav live performances of this song. Makes me cry...so beautiful but the words i sadly see it as also applying to Stevie ☹😢 He looks super sexy here & his voice is gorgeous...such a loss when he was killed, he certainly brings out emotions thru his guitars but he had something extra ..like Elvis...u just cant replicate or put ur finger on what it is.... Great reaction...any Stevie live is a winner Thankyou ❣🙏🇬🇧

Soul, heart, talent and can express exactly the way for an audience to feel what he feels. That is true blues. Could u do a reaction video on this one: kzread.info/dash/bejne/iYOeqMqEl5fOY9Y.html it's a legendary band doing one of their famous hits LIVE. I find that performance very touching.

It's ok babe, I can't listen to this without tears streaming down my cheeks. Especially at 5:32. Always think not only of Stevie, but the two beloved brothers I've lost so early in life. I do not possess the art of letting go. It's a very emotional piece. And he is one of a kind. Have you done Little Wing ? No lyrics in this, his cover of Jimi Hendrix' original, not needed. A truly beautiful composition. Thanks for choosing SRV, keep it up! ☮️ to all
