    I think it becomes even better when you pay attention to the Aesthetics of the light that is used in this scene. They kept one light shining on one side of his face while the other side was cloaked in darkness. He was being half and half...

    Well said. Everybody riding the Sopranos, but it doesn't have anything on the Wire. The depth of the characters in the Sopranos is like a puddle in the street compared to the Wire's characters. One of the best shows in television history.

    This was the first thing I ever saw Idris Elba in. I was actually a prosecutor in Baltimore when they were filming The Wire, lol. I cannot stress how excellent his Baltimore street accent is! Or how accurately the show portrayed the system, from the streets to the police to the prosecutors to the politicians and then to the schools. All these years later and it's still the most brilliant show I've ever seen.

    When you think about it. Stringer could have ended the whole saga with Omar by saying he already took out the ones who did it. Since Omar was cool on letting peace be after stringer said they hired it but the rest was on that person. But stringer caused the most issues in the rest of the series after this moment.

    @@TG-ft4bi he needed the proposition Joe package in order to make money , the deal was to let them hustle in the towers , Avon already had brother come to defend the tower cuz they had no muscle , brother even shot cheese , stringer needed him gone but he couldn’t do it himself, cuz Avon would no and his reputation would be at risk and everybody was afraid of brother ,especially the east side they used omar to try and kill him , hence why he used Brandon as a motivator , stringer tried to use Omar as pawn

    he really had to fuck himself over by reminding omar what happened to brandon. Details that made sure there wasn't any shadow of doubt in his mind Stringer either ordered or oversaw what happened and got a detailed answer back about it. Constantly showing that he thought he was the smartest man in the room without realizing just how intelligent the men he was facing were. Underestimated those around him and overestimated himself and it was what ultimately got him killed

    Yep. Omar doesn’t kill Mouzone because he senses that Mouzone is telling the truth and when Mouzone abducts his boyfriend to find him, Omar realizes that torture of that nature really isn’t Mouzone’s style. And they both sniff their way back to Stringer.

    He did this because prop Joe suggested it. Joe told him Omar can take out mouzone and string agreed. You recall Joe organized a meeting at butchie bar to tell Omar he had nothing to do with the hit? It's a good idea but only failed coz mouzone did not die immediately when Omar shot him as they had hoped. String also tried to shoot Omar on truce Sunday but missed. Talk about bad luck And lack of proper organization,bad employees/killers
