Striking Out
Ойын-сауық
The plaintiff was hired by the defendant to work at a food stand. However, the defendant never paid him, so the plaintiff is suing for the wages he’s owed. The defendant insists the plaintiff showed up late. Besides, it was a volunteer job.

"That may be in another receipt book." The judge knew at that moment they were lying, and she wasn't about to be taken for a ride. Not to mention the way he kept talking around her questions. And she gave then the chance to get the sign in sheet. As if no one is at her office, or she couldn't call someone to go get it. They didn't want that sign in sheet to be seen, because it had his name on it.
