Yeah had building the proxies a month ago, gravis, eliminator and captain to add to my BLoodangels intercession squad

Wouldn’t it have been great if they had put data cards in the Plague Marines heroes box?

Those are from a previous year, but yeah it would have been nice, and the Blood Angels box could have had the Deathwatch rules on them.

Okay yeah, that's what I was thinking of!

Being something of a Batman fan, Captain Flava would make a terrific Miller-esqe style conversion project. It's almost all there, a bit of green stuff, maybe a bit of reposing and total conversion work in places, but I can see it. A bit off topic I know, but it had to said.

Nice that Vietnam has gotten these models early. God knows Saigon and Hanoi are hotbeds of Warhammer gameplay. Ohh, I dated myself, there’s no Saigon anymore, it’s Ho Chi Minh City now.

I think the go-to list would be Captain, all the normal guys, and either Sniper or Heavy depending on the enemy team and terrain - whether you're better off hiding from enemy fire with Conceal and Silent guy or just tanking the hits. I don't really think a Marine team can allow itself to have two guys with Heavy guns and no Suspensors, with so few bodies they really need mobility - not to mention that since the Sniper doesn't have Bolter Discipline, he actually does less damage than a normal guy would with two attacks. Though I can see some specific situations where you would take both the Sniper and the Heavy, dropping one of the normal dudes.

Thanks for showing these off. I just bought two Crusader Squads and two Sword Brethren squads, so that does it for the warhammer money for now. But I'm always interested in this series and what they put out.

Hmm, the captain and sniper are intriguing. My FLGS said they would be getting 8 shrink-wrapped sets; I’m not going to pursue them, but if the opportunity arises, who knows?

Oddly enough, while originally this sort of thing was for Japan, it got delayed over here lol

Cap, Sgt (Leader), Sniper, Assault, Smokes, flexing ABR or HBR depending on who you are going into.

I think most of the time you're flexing Sniper or Heavy Intercessor, with Heavy Int being the default. Two shots from a heavy bolter is just so good, but I don't think the team can allow itself to have two operatives with Heavy weapons and no Suspensors.

@@antongrigoryev6381 I can’t see an argument for the HBR being default, or ever taking it over the sniper. 2⚪️ movement is just bad, and it’s flat out terrible on a guy with a heavy gun. While the shots will hit like a train he can’t get around the map to take them. Add to that the fact that the game isn’t really about killing stuff and I dint think he’s going to get play like someone who can move if necessary and, when it does come to killing time, can do easy mode NRS by removing Obscured from his target.

@@majortom7186 Without Bolter Discipline, Sniper actually has the lowest damage per activation of the team - and I think this team may need damage, considering it doesn't have Intercession Equipment and Gunner. With 5 normal marines in other slots to do mission work, I think you totally can get away with having one guy a bit slower, especially considering he won't be slowed further by injury.

Big question going into this, if you buy a pack, is it truly every one in a bundle, blind box style?

Yes, it's a legal requirement apparently. If you buy a whole carton, you get 1 of each plus one duplicate!

Looks like US release has been delayed. I hope my FLGS will be able to get me a box. I seems that the Heavy Intercessor, Eliminator and Captain give this a solid advantage over Intercession KT.

You mentioned at the start of the video you can preorder these in the uk. Care to divulge where from please?

Yes. So for some reason the only place I can find is Alchemistsworkshops.com in the UK. No where else seems to be offering them. It's a reputable site, so there's no reason to think they shouldn't get their stock if they're offering it. Search for "Space Marine Heroes" NOT Strike Force Justian.

I actually think it's intentional, as they're meant to be played with light rules - which have no Tac Ops. They probably still will get FAQ'd though.

No Archetype, no. I have to assume there will be a PDF or FAQ or something, as it has been said by Warcom that this is a matched play viable team.

A very meh release. It pretty much a different and yet still a bit worse Intercession. Sure cap is just better Assault Sgt, but I would say that Normal Sgt with sanctified bolts would just win in shooting and I would say that with correct chap. Tactics and equipment Ass. Sgt would outperform cap. And yeah chapter tactics. Their lack annoys me. I was kinda hoping that each model will have it's own trait (lets say that assault intercessor can parry better for example). And equipment (or rather lack off it) is also dissapointing.

Oh yes and models. Is it to much to expect that if you make whole new sprues why not make something interesting with models? Give assault marine a combat shield hell at least a tilt shield
