They gave him command of a five-million-ton weapon. Then they tried to kill him. Now it's war.
📡 Strike Battleship Argent Chapter Playlist: • Strike Battleship Arge...
Contact with the strike cruiser DSS Dunkerque was lost only minutes after the repeater at Uniform Oscar received her last routine log update. The position report put the flagship inside the contested Gitairn Sector. Vice Admiral Charles Hughes is in command. The vessel and her crew have now been officially listed as missing for nearly 90 hours.
Captain Jason Hunter, the new skipper of the battleship Argent , is ordered to investigate. He sets course for the admiral's last reported position, knowing full well once he leaves Alliance space he may face alien warships, hidden traps or any number of other threats, including the grim possibility his enemies just might turn out to be human.
Hunter recruits the pilots of his former strike fighter squadron to serve as his senior officers. They counsel the young captain to be cautious, even as they prepare ship and crew for the possibility of all-out war to rescue the officer Hunter regards as both friend and mentor.
There is no margin for error and no time for uncertainty. A young man in command of a five-million-ton weapon must find the courage to lead more than 100 combat spacecraft and nearly four thousand fleet and marines against enemies seen and unseen.
When Argent discovers a Sentinel planetary defense battery and surrounding deployment of lethal mines in a treacherous asteroid field where no human should be, the captain realizes he has flown into a powder keg.
And his ship might be the match.

Strike Battleship Argent is at its heart a "what if?" story. Is it possible to build a main battery aboard a carrier and be successful in battle? Can a warship integrate the sometimes opposing doctrines of force projection and fire support? We're about to find out! I've added a link to the chapter playlist in the description to make it easier to follow the story. Enjoy!

Well....perhaps they could use the "track" of the hostiles..course heading, speed, etcetera, and use the information to.."guestimate" WHEN and WHERE those tracks would most likely be in their next optimal position to fire on them & plot a solution TO those approximate coordinates, while NOT altering their own heading. By just "appearing" to oblivious to...the MOST "likely" position & headings of the hostile tracks, this WOULD make said hostiles HIGHLY inclined to...TAKE what seemed to be an EASY shot. While the enemy ships could not be effectively engaged while they were..out of dimensional "phase", they WOULD have come BACK into the same dimensional phases as the ships they were firing on. THAT is why the.."ruse" of having NO tracking data could be played up, by taking random but predictable '"pot shots" towards coordinates that did NOT pose any potential threat. And then, timing the impact of multiple snapshots with the precise moment enemy craft WOULD be in optimal firing position..& the targeting coordinates already having been "hopefully" and somewhat accurately..-ISH, FIRE ALL. Throw in a handful of big 'ol nukes to allow for the..margin if error. Can't track them while out of phase..so..just fire upon where..& when their next optimal firing position WOULD be. Can't fire on whats technically NOT there. SO...just fire on WHERE they would/should most likely BE when they are.."given" an opportunity too good to pass up. And THEN..LIGHT'EM UP!😎

I don't know, I've seen several of these stories 2 to 5 hours long. I'll always book one. I'm just wondering when I get to book 2 book 3 book 4.5. You know everything seems to be book one for every story. That's percent for a Continuation of a story seems to be only one book and set a several different books. 1 book 2 book 3 book. It all seems to be one book. So you've got one book that's 10000 minutes long split into several different stories. It seems like for over some years now and none of the stories are exactly the same. Just continuing off from the last story. If you get it in the right order else you get. Monks are different and the story of missing some things. I'm just surprised cancer, captain hunter don't become a major rank, one rank up to a major or lieutenant ma. Jor anyways, or a lieutenant colonel or a Luciano Admiral, which is a good consistent of rising up and rank for what he's been doing from a story. I listen to just a year ago. Just got dennison to it too.

I don't get the skywatch Marines. I mean, navy and Air Force is the one to take Uber the big crabs, and the Marines are the granted work foreground and combat navy and Air Force would be the ones expanding and more like navy would be commanded in big ships. Air Force will be commanded in smaller chips like the fight, a foot pilots and stuff like that. Or maybe I don't know what ship. But I think it's all actually would be space force. Cause that regional space part has been opened by Donald Trump when he meant credit to space force. And that's what they're attended for more or less. And yes, they're bring in a navy to that anyways. Because right now a kernel commands Space force .

Five minutes in and a flag officer bullies a junior enlisted sentry just following his lawful orders. Disgraceful behavior unbecoming an officer written by an author who either never served or forgot what it was like to serve under pompous asses like that. I’m out. I’d only be willing to stay if I had reason to believe every character but the sentry died.

A real marine would have answered her question about rank with. Yes i see your rank and understanding it’s abit short of whats needed to get through the door.

But I really liked the Thunderbirds! That was a very cool show! We need a modern Thunderbirds movie done in the same format with big stars as all the main characters.
