Heard about a guy who was turned down at a software developer interview because he was not geeky enough. Well, these two chaps would definitely be accepted there.

Fun fact, this was based on a Laurel & Hardy sketch from one of their movies.

They should ask "Have you seen "The IT Crowd" during job interviews to make sure they know what they are getting into.

I only started watching Father Ted because of this show but for me, the leap in humour, context, and relevance is remarkable. There are so many brilliant parts to it that I've never seen anywhere else

Note how much the stresses lady in the chair is laughing. :D

I've only just realised today that the opening to this scene was a tribute to Laurel and Hardy in Sons of the Desert.

The fingers gets me cracking up every time. Been there, experienced that

I thought that part was slowing it down, glad they got rid of him for his "son" He was good, but I found his parts slowed everything down. I usually don't like new characters part way through but His "son" was much better than I gave him credit for, so was a nice replacement

The writers must be fans of Laurel and Hardy, as they are replicating this scene from the L and H movie ' Sons of the desert.

@@automat3000 That depends on whether or not you pronounce the 'h' in 'homage'. (I don't pronounce the h, so it's 'an homage' for me. Something like 50% of us pronounce the 'h', so for them, it's 'a homage')

@@matambale Actually, I do, so in my case it is actually "a homage". I was thinking about the stressed syllable rule - the one that means it's "a history" but "an historic". The first syllable is stressed in homage, so if you pronounce it with an h, it has to be "a".

The solution is called "Only work with other educated PROFESSIONALS."

Just to explain the joke for non-IT people: he should have left the soldering iron turned OFF and not turned it ON again, which is what caused the fire, which he then ought to have reacted to more promptly.

I'm equally ignorant about shoes, but I'm pretty sure failing to notice Katherine's legs qualifies as a self-inflicted hate crime.
