The GTO didn't have a unique VIN until '66. Until then, the GTO package was an option. A highboy sits normally on the frame. It has not been channeled.

68 Fairlanes didn't come with a 351 390 and 428 big blocks, 351 came out in the 69 model
For an old car guy for over 40 yrs as a car evacuator they do not tell you of what you see, for there are many things that they will hide and you over pay for the car. For I have seen this many times in my life and they will not tell you the truth. So take it as you may never see the truth.
