As a matter of fact, ajinomoto is the company that made MSG and made it famous and then was being used interchangeably.. just like xerox.

MSG is not bad for health unless you have a minimum of 200gms per week( common sense tells daily even if you have indo Chinese food still it won't reach 100 GM's a week . It's safer than Sugar stop and the RED colour they added in chicken fry. Please stop this practice of spreading propoganda MSG is bad. Its a taste n flavour enhancer .Nowadays every big restaurant uses maggi cubes, broth powder, Aromatic apices to enhance flavour which is an expensive version of MSG
