Great vid.👍 Would be great to see a vid on a compression testing how to and results on rebuilt engine. What the numbers mean, with a how and why they change. Maybe confirm steps needed for RX8 owners for safe and accurate DIY testing. Not everyone has access to Ben (or clone) or even a half decent workshop.

I'm currently customising bodywork on my car almost finished now. I was looking to push the engine for more power, but after watching Ben/Habbos video explaining the direction of what RotaryRevs are guna be doing in the future, I'll be coming for this exact port on my r3 very soon. I'm lucky enough to be local to RotaryRevs and nonatter what issue I've had with my car, small to near fatal, these guys have always gone the extra mile to help, even directing me to a guy who can supply pretty much any part for an model of the rx8. Customer service is far superior to the normal. This is now my second rx8 after crashing my last one...oops 🤷♂️...but it's because I now live near these guys, who have the same passion for the car as I do, that I bought another. Keep up the Good work & I'll be in very soon.

Do you suggest adding a turbo kit on stock r3 engine?
buying a rx8 here soon. what "porting" would you do / recommend for someone that wants the brap but wants throttle response + rpm ? ( is there a way to port to make the brap slower ? ) instead of the ... BRAPBRAPBRAPBRAPBRAP. is there a way to slow it down between braps ? like : BRAP...BRAP...BRAP...BRAP... great video ! thanks ! !
I understand keeping roughness in the intake port for mixing but wouldn't polishing the exhaust help as I understand the side port is very restrictive compared to a peripheral. Or does that just introduce the same torque curve issue as opening the exhaust port?

The exhaust port is sleeved, nothing to polish :)

i have a 2004 192hp rx8, does the redline a day, realy work for the carbon built up?
Can you rev these to 10k once they've been ported?
