    My understanding is that the yellow sweet corn is only a small part of the corn grown in the US, and is grown primarily for human consumption. The great majority of what is grown is for feed for cattle and maybe other livestock and is sometimes referred to as "field corn" or "deer corn". I had always heard that it was rare to find sweet corn outside the US, nice to know it is available in Mexico.

    awesome timing! I’ve never tried the white corn, but I like my corn on the sweeter side, so it sounds like yellow would be my jam. I had no idea that Guisados means fillings. I used to go to a place called Guisados in L.A. and I just thought it was someone’s name (Guisado’s). 🤣 How amazing that they returned your bike lock! Good people still exist in the world. ❤️ That buñuelo looks amazing!

    @EatBailaTravel

    2 жыл бұрын

    haha "guisados" does sound like a name... and according to Google Translate, it means "stew" 😂 but it's used colloquially in Mexico to mean "I cooked this up to be used as a filling for your gorditas, tacos, or simply by the spoonful/forkful" but that was too much for a screentext 😜🤭 hahaha
