Sonics are easy, Flash kicks on neutral target take a lot more time to master. 2x cr mp flash kick is super easy once you get flash kicks down on stick. Cannot do the neutral one though. Well I did it once or twice but can't do it consistently even in training. Been using my stick for years on Shoto and assault toons as well. Have never messed with Guile much but finally decided to since character roster in 6 isn't up to snuff for me.

i'm surprised your #1 most asked question isn't "how do you play with the analog stick?"

Dude this was sooooo good, I watch so much of your Guile and a huge admirer so getting tips and tricks from THE guy himself is super helpful! And holy crap, did not expect the analog stick usage, that makes what you do even more impressive 🤯

Hey! You can display the cancel window in the training menu, it would help you explain the "delay" tk cancel a bit better. Also good content, keep it up, the best guile out there.

My feedback: I couldn't land this combo even once, so I tried setting the game speed to 50% and practiced in slow motion. The trick was to input the HP almost at the same time as the MP, giving you enough time to make the charge.

Man I been practicing these 'very easy' combos for hours and I can get that target combo maybe 1/20 times. Almost certain I'm getting enough charge with it but I have no idea when to input the flash kick. Standing lk into flash kick one was quite useful though! Thank you!

I know this is basically exactly what he says in the video, but you can reeeeeally delay the flash kick input after the back fierce connects. Really try doing it as late as possible.

Ok i found the answer, you cannot input any other direction other than flash kick its a very tight input to do.

The second you press medium, (like almost exactly at the same time) press down back and fierce and then wait late into the animation of fierce to land it.

Nah I agree cause my whole life I've stayed away from the D Pad on the controller so I got good on analog so I'm sticking with it.

For the 5LK > boom tip, you can actually input it as 6LK, where I do 6LK plink into 6p for my boom. I find this a lot more comfortable for these combos and it works with super too.

To add on to this, you can also do charge > 6LK > 4P. This allows you to plink LK to boom, while also already start charging for the next special. Really useful to clear advance 2 combo trial or just boom > flash kick scenarios

How do you flashkick after crouching heavy. I’ve seen him do it but the move isn’t cancellable and I can’t find any timing that works

It's hard to get any information on this... but are you like one of the only players who use analog stick? Can you elaborate why exactly? I sometimes find the double charge moves to be a lot easier with analog, since you can flick it, but I'm still unsure...

Núcle is great

The timing on the first one is rough, and very easy to drop in play. I’ve seen a few top Guile players drop it. I can pull it off, but I can’t 90% pull it off. It’s crazy because I feel like I’m doing it the same way everytime.

Can you do a tutorial for conforms with motion characters? Specifically Ryu. I know you’re a guile main, but being a pad player myself, and shoto, it’s hard to execute important or optimum combos with motion inputs. But it’s alright if you don’t. I learn a lot going up against guile with your videos as it is.

I still have no idea how pros can use triggers for attacks in fighting games. Isn't there a delay compared to pressing the face buttons?

Bro I feel the same. I will simple the story but I made a mistake in the 90s I put lights on the triggers so my muscle memory is to have L1 and R1 as lights and med and heavy on face buttons. I cant really rewrite 30 years muscle memory. Like you state, I have input issues with light links and tech throws because my lights are on the shoulder buttons.

Charges are easier with the analog if your inputs are extremely precise. You can get near instant charges if you set your deadzones real low or nonexistent.

You need to hold the first input of the move for 45 frames, which is a little less than a second. So for sonic boom you need to hold back for that time before you can hit foward and punch to shoot one. Otherwise you'll just punch. Same with flash kick, but with down. If you hold down back, you can charge both at the same time.

Does it work if you charge back while doing the MP in a combo? For example: 5hp xx dr.5MP, 5MP+4HP, FK and you start charging back in the first MP and start charging downback right after second MP?

Yes, you can charge back all the time, jumping, dashing, in the animation of another normal or special, etc
