“But you can tell there’s always so much thought and emotion put into it” while yes they do... jisung also wrote his rap for maze of memories in 15 minutes. Very talented. When I heard he wrote it in 15 minutes I was in awe.

See that’s the crazy thing! 15 minutes, with that much thought, that much clarity and to have it articulated incredibly well - THAT is in itself a talent 🤯

The best thing is, you're amazed already and you still have a lot to go. It's so cute to see. Side Effects and Double Knot will break you more. And if you're the emotional type at all, Voices (aka best B-side ever, I won't stop saying that) will hit you straight in the chest. And yes, the lyrics will always be important. Stupid story: When I first got introduced to Stray Kids, it was after seeing Hellevator and District 9. I was intrigued and checked out My Pace next (as it's popular). I don't deal well with "cutsey" until I have already gotten into a group, so the "NaNaNA"s in My Pace threw me off and I wasn't feeling it. I liked the rap a lot though. Towards the end I realized I had not turned on the CCs, so I started the song over with the CCs and it made me realize that the "NaNaNA"s weren't them being cute (more like mocking). Completely changed my view on the song and them. Voices was the song that got me to stan though. As always, thanks for sharing and be well!

Dude, Voices and Mirror performance m.v’s are a must. 😎✌️ Changbin has a technique where he scrapes the top of the voice box for the growl. It doesn’t strain him in any way, and over the years he has come up with so many ways to use it. Like he can apply it to his singing voice for example. my pace was the song that got me IN DEEP which stray kids it was like the third song i heard of theirs and before i'd been like. yeah theyre good. but then i heard my pace and like. my sleep was interrupted because i could not stop thinking about it i'd be laying in bed and suddenly my brain was full of nANANA NA NA and changbins rapping. at that point i sat down and listened to their entire discography and watched the survival show. there was a lot of tears esp during the show and when reading the lyrics i'm just an emotional wreck of a person

I love reading "how I got into SKZ" posts! For me, I've been into kpop since 2014 so I knew about and liked Hellevator and District 9 when they came out but didn't really get into any of their other songs. Since then I was getting more and more out of kpop so I hadn't heard any of their more recent stuff until Feb when I randomly decided to give the rest of their discography a try (I do that with random kpop groups from time to time) and boy was I blown away when I found out that literally all their music is fire (compared to me liking 1-2 songs per album for other kpop artists).

from their mini album (I AM series) i am NOT : district 9 - breaking the system, wanting to be different i am WHO : my pace - this whole mini album is like they're asking "then who am i?" i am YOU : they found the answer, it was you. you could be yourself that reflected in the mirror, could be people around you who supports you. thats the message they want to give out. also you should check out their live performance of I Am You BALLAD VERSION from hi-stay Japan

I hope you can also react to my side. It’s very underrated and some people don’t even know it exists! That’s sad because everyone deserves to hear it. And insomnia is also a must! A more vocal based song like i am YOU. Same goes for Voices. My favourite bside(with Phobia) I am you is important for STAYS, because it is for us and we always considered is as Woojin’s era.
