Luckily, in Germany you can only euthanise an animal if it's really sick or very aggressive. But on the other hand, most pets are fixed here, so we don't have a stray problem.

I find that cats are always so misunderstood. People make them out to be these ungrateful, selfish creatures, yes they like their space (people fail to understand that, they don’t like to be hounded 24/7)..but they can be just as amazing as dogs, if not in my experience, better!

I love that the cat picked her Hooman and sensed how anxious and depressed she was. It was just the perfect match. I swear, cats have a deeper understanding of empathy than we think.

I have 6 feral cats, 4 rescued from the woods. They are a hoot. So much smarter, logic, loving over the top as they were nursed by my hand and know they were saved. They love riding the rumba around when it is running. I could go on and on. Open all the kitchen cabinets at night. Eddy moves contents out and sleeps in one. Never a dull moment. Eddy literally saved my life due to his actions. Guess he paid me back with interest. Bee sweeps the cat hair from step to step into a pile at the bottom of the stairs with her laws. Domestics are good cats but the feral have advanced intelligence due to coping with life in the wild. Must be bred in them.

My cat was 5 weeks old when I rescued her from the streets (I tried to trap the rest of her family, but the mom knew and moved them and wouldn't come back) and she is not bold. The wildest thing she does is try to pull the treat container out of a pocket in her bag and eat them all. I can leave her food in a bag and she won't try to chew it though. My mother has two former ferals that I convinced her to take instead of me having to releasing them back and they cannot be trusted with any type of food being left out, even if it's wrapped. They'll chew one spot on the package open and then finish the food so there's not a crumb left. I don't think it has much to do with genetics because most house cats have either been on the street and rescued or one generation from being feral so there's no significant genetic variation. I think it has more to do with how they're raised and what feline influences are around while they're developing.

My Micah and Harlequin were born six feet from me. And once they were moving their mama raised them on my bed. I wonder if that's why Micah thinks bugs are moving kitty treats. Although Harley is a proven Hunter of field mice. But never been outside.

What I don’t get is why Tuna was labeled feral in the first place? She was quiet and didn’t make noise like most cats in shelters. She may have been an outside cat but that doesn’t make her feral or untamable

And specially with her colouring as you do not normally get Siamese colouring in generation of ferals running around. What were they thinking? Specially if she curls up on a lap immediately....that is NOT feral cat behavior at all. Ferals do not know what the lap is or that there is something called like human affection. That's why real ferals are so hard to tame.

Seems like rgar shelter doesn't even try to look if the cat is really not sociable, or try to make the really feral one sociable. They just decide to kill a portion of poor cats and that's it.

@@thethumper088 WOW, turning an adult feral cat - must have been a stray, people often get them mixed up. I've worked with feral cats and kittens and had some success in turning feral kittens but you have to get them young and they must be penned so they cannot run and hide from you. They require hours spent each day trying to socialise them and even after a lot of hard work some will still claw and bite you - they have razor sharp teeth!. Have had no success with a true feral cats.

They come into your life when you need them the most. Cats are truly very high energy creatures and do have healing capabilities.

What I love about ,Cat's, is how proud, and different from each other,they are. Every single cat,is unique ,and if you lucky enough to find the une ,who match your personality, your way of thinking, and,your life. It will be awesome friendship until nature decides.

Every therapist should recommend getting a kitty to their clients. Mine makes me feel over the moon. Love her to bits!

I miss my cat, I saw her in an abandoned lot crying when she was just about a week old, her left paw was cut opened and she could not walk by herself. It was raining and she didn't have a roof on her head. I took her back home and i told my boss that i couldn't make it to work that day. I spent whole day comforting her. She grew up a happy cat, very stubborn and full of energy. I think animals that were abandoned and got the chance to be loved are the most happiest of them all. We spent 7 years together before she passed away and i really missed her after seing this video.

What a beautiful story! I'm glad that you found each other, and have, basically, saved each other's lives. God bless the two of you, and may you have many years and adventures together.

This is beautiful. *Shelters should be ashamed of themselves.* Yeah yeah, their helping. Why not neuter/spay the cats and release them again? Let them eventually find their death. Don’t put it on them because you don’t have space. Glad tuna is living the life she deserves ❤️

Why can’t we build homes with huge acres (like Japan) let them roam free and hire people to work there and make it a visitor center with an eating area for humans and hikes with cats in enclosed acres. Idk so much possibilities tho to benefit both animal and humans.

It is horrible how many domesticated pets are euthanized every year in shelters, but the 1970's saw more than 20 million domesticated pets destroyed annually in the U.S.! Now we are under 1 million and there are a lot more people, and pets. It's all about educating people to adopt, not buy, and to spay/neuter their pets. I am convinced that much of turn-around is due to Bob Barker's influence. How many people remember him saying "Have your pets spayed or neutered"? =D

My adopted feral cat changed my life. He was my buddy. It took a little time to get him accustomed to living indoors but once in and receiving bundles of cuddles and pets he turned into a love bug.

I grew up with this dog my dad found in a desert, all i can say i'm really happy my dad found that dog! My sister has this hair pulling mental illness anxiety, and depression. And that dog saved my sisters life, i am so honored to have a dog like that.

Yuet..... Hey there. I'm sorry I don't. I spend so much time in the mountains I don't have good reception up there. I come down to civilization to check on my parents. They are in their 80's but surprisingly they are pretty healthy and very active. I thought about doing the FB thing but just never have. The lady and that cat are perfect for each other. I'm happy for them. Me and my family also take in rescues. My family rescued a strey, abandoned kitten and adopted him. He was only a few days old as well. We bottle fed him and gave him love. He grew really close to my dad an is his best bud. He is now 11 or 12 years old and a big sweetheart. When ever me, my parents or anyone he is close to is upset, he comforts them. He is our sweet, little fury sausage. (he's a little chubby.) I love your vids they are really heart warming and make my day!

My cat is the same way. He loves road trips and going out for walks! So adorable they all have their individual personalities if given the dedication to them.

It's a real *fact* : Cats or dogs ( your pets) can sense your feelings, emotions, whether you're in pain, you're happy, etc.... If they love you and see youas their friend, they'll take care of you. For example, if youre sad, your pet will come and try to comfort you. Pets are a good way for people to deal with anxiety, stress, etc. Their love and affection will make you happy and make you forget bad things. I hope this helped you.....

Feral Cats can often be the most special adoptions. I have had two who connected with me and they were very special. There definitely is a gratitude for the care you give them that they would not have got elsewhere. And they are extremely good for the mind and soul.

She looks like she has some Siamese in her. I had a Siamese cat that liked to sit in my lap in the car and she would meow enthusiastically every time a truck would pass us. I was convinced that she was a truck driver in a former life!

This woman is irresponsible, it is not right to drive a car with a cat, a dog that does it. She does not think about herself and her cat. If an accident happens, it is the fault of the woman or the cat.

I wouldn't put it so harshly. Some people don't realize an unrestrained pet is like an unrestrained child in a moving car. Likely to be injured in a crash. There are some pet restraints on the market that allow them to move around the car a bit, but not get thrown out in a crash.

Honestly strays and feral cats make the best pets once they trust you and get to know you . They're so loving and appreciative

This is so very precious! Thank you for rescuing this precious kitty and giving it a beautiful life. Cats are therapeutic. Kitty helped you much with your anxiety and my kitty helps when I am having a bad pain day. I have chronic pain syndrome from a trashed low back and when I am having a bad day, my kitty will lay on my legs and go to sleep and that really helps. Sometimes he will lay down beside me and just purrs and purrs and it does help me feel better. I hope you and your kitty to have many many years together sharing love and companionship.
