So happy you were found safe in Utah, Denali! Lots of love to missing and forgotten cats all over the world.

I LOVE that you said "I get along better with Denali than any other man in my life.". I feel the exact same way about my boy, Rocky. No other man could top him.

I don’t blame her for taking so many photos. I would too if I had the opportunity to get so many incredible shots!

Bless their hearts. I'm sure Sandra was beside herself. Thank goodness Denali is safe and they'reback together! ❤🐈❤

What a horrific experience that must have been for her and her cat I can't imagine how she felt them ten days, but she was so determined 2 find him and didn't give up till she did, WOW, what a crazy, inspirational and moving story about their life! KEEP UP THE GREAT CAT SERIES/STORYS!!!

I once had a kitten named Denali, she was a cute gray and white Siberian. She was also very adventurous, she was also a bit of a naughty kitty. I loved her a lot. It was nice to see her namesake.

People - YOUR FREE! Cat - watch what happens when you take the leash off...

So glad you found your Denali after he got lost ,that is our worst fear losing them when we take them out on adventures,we have 2 girl cats that we travel with full time in our RV and we let them walk with us like a pride of lions and they stay with us,cats are very intelligent as you said and they bring us such joy and happiness, thanks for sharing your boy and your story,he is one cool cat😸😻❤✌

At 10:53, Denali starts cleaning himself while the two of them are dangling off the side of that rock. I think the little fellow isn't the least bit worried. That must have been a horrible ten days looking for Denali. I'm very happy you didn't give up on him. People who don't have pets don't understand the bond we have with them. I hope you and Denali continue to have marvelous adventures together. My wife and I always want single people to have a companion and a cat. We hope eventually another male comes into your life that will complete the circle. As long as he understands and loves you and Denali with the same amount of compassion and love. Be safe and happy.

omg that must've been so scary for Denali to be lost for 10 days and I can't even imagine how worried Sandra would have been. So glad they found him and he is safe.

Just found this series. It is amazing. The adventure cat one is my favorite. What an amazing connection she has with her cat.

Good Lord I could not climb like that! And she does it with a cat!

My town caught fire in 2006 and my Odis von Nordegg was evacuated by my co worker. I was not home. He got to the muster point and escaped. 6 days it took me to find my boy and I cant tell you how fantastic it was to hold him again. For a few days afterward Odis wouldn't let me out of his site. He followed me everywhere. He lost a bit of weight but as he was still a kitten 9 mos old he got over it. We were hiking buds fishing pals much like this cat and his person.

😨😰🫣 i am so glad you got Denali back!! Poor little sweetheart! Very glad he got his mistress back.

Sandra I must comment on your friend and climbing partner. He was incredible. Also, Denali is an attractive boy. I'm glad you and he have each other! 💜

IM SO GLAD HE WAS FOUND AFTER 10 DAYS IN THE MOUNTAINS. OMG I WOULDVE BEEN SO WORRIED AND SCARED FOR HIM. NOT ONLY THAT BUT I WOULDNT BE ABLE TO SLEEP. GOSH THAT MUST HAD BEEN SO HARD. BUT IM SO GLAD HE IS ALIVE AND WELL AND BACK WITH HER. I LOST MY BABY MYAH IN JULY 2020 AND SHE I THINK GOT EATEN BY COYOTES. I MISS HER EVERYDAY. SHE WAS A MAINCOON 3 YEARS OF AGE AND LOVED ADVENTURES. SADLY IT COUGHT UP WITH HER. AND MANY OTHER CATS I HERD WENT MISSING WHEN MINE DID HERE IN WASHINGTON STATE.

Dont take another cat if you cant be its master. I have a main coon too, and cayotes close by. She's in at night with me and during pupping season. I'm sorry , but I have little empathy for you. Your cat trusted you to protect her or him and you didn't. Dont make that error again.

What an amazing pair, so much love and respect!

I love this..I decided to have my cats and dogs not children and I actually think I am happier and a lot more free then my friends chained down with kids...But hey to each their own!!

I love the mountain 😇😍 I've actually been in the mountains when I was little when my family took me. It was really nice to go to the mountains

Absolutely fantastic but I think my 70 years old mommy will end up in ICU when trying this! You go Denali!

i can't say I agree with taking Denali up that pillar like that. What if she were to fall? Or Denali to freak out and jump? You just never know. Super cool that she would include him in her life like that, but I wouldn't engage in death defying situations with my precious animals like that.

Seeing him off leash at 7:05 made me nuts... that's just insane. I get that he's a different kind of cat, but _anything_ can happen, and I suspect he was loosely supervised when he was attacked and ran off.

@@plaidpanda In the 5 years I have had the pleasure of being mom to Denali- He has NEVER been off leash. For that segment we filmed, we were at a dead end, with all of us standing around, he couldn't go anywhere, the producers asked for that segment and 30 people stood around-its film. As for your "loosely Supervised comment" How insensitive, you are. He was in his pack the entire hike, I took him out for 3 min, while he was in his harness and leash. All of a sudden 2 off leash dogs attacked us, He escaped his harness as most cats can. He ran off, this actually saved his life, had he not- the leash would have gotten caught and I would have watched him get eaten in front of me. So, The next time you decide to judge people, maybe inquire or research the story of what happened. Its all over his Instagram Starting Oct 28th, of 2020, his Insta is Denali Gato. I sure hope you don't have a small pet, that could be attacked by unruly prey dogs off leash on a leash trail. Those were the worst 10 days of our lives, I slept on the side of a mountain for 9 nights searching for him day and night.

Edit: If you're going thru benign comments that voice concern about your cat (and insulting people), you're not exactly an exemplary representative for Sheba.

Josh, I hear you and appreciate your concern/thoughts, it does appear to be unsafe, to non climbers. This type of climbing is not death defying at all. Other types of climbing I do would be, not this Top Rope climbing kind. Denali was tethered to the pack, he can't jump out due to the tether holding him in. He would never jump due to cats having depth perception(nothing to land on). I did not raise a fool ;) Honestly, the most death defying situation for an adventure cat is an unleashed prey dog. Every month our adventure cat community hears about a cat being attacked by unleashed dogs, its horrific how these dog owners just don't care. That is how Denali went missing for 10 days. Another cat, just died Last Sunday due to unleashed prey driven dogs.

@@plaidpanda Your original point is invalid as is your second point, since you clearly did not read. I stated he was on harness and leash when attacked and in my arms, as the dogs were jumping on me trying to get to him, but yet- here you are again trying to prove your wrong, insensitive and unnecessary point to the worst 10 days of my life. I sure hope something like that never happens to you and then insensitive Karens judge you. Take care dear, do better next time.

Wow! This lady, Sandra, is it?! She is quite amazing With her yoga and Pilates and rock climbing like that up this Rock that is straight up! And caring her cat, Denali, at the same time on her back! That is something I sure have never seen before or heard of! But you guys made it! I was rather nervous, to say the least! But you had your friend, I didn’t catch his name, doing the belaying(sp.?!)!!! Which is very good! Yes, and I am a former cat owner of quite a lot of cats!!! So I can appreciate this! And I’ve done a little bit of the rock climbing, only in a gym though... or a couple of gyms.

WOW! On every level. I love cats!! 😽. Lost my Kiki Girl " a yr.@ a half ago. She was 17. Held her while she took her lasr breath @ was SO grateful to be with her. WILL be adopting 1 or( more than likely) 2 kittens from shelter. i MUST take them with me on outings..Get them to love riding in a vehicle with Mama. ALWAYs BEEN a CAT 💖 LOVER!! The bigger the better. 😽 😽 thank you SO much for sharing. ☺

Cats mostly communicate with body language and their EYES. As a cat your expected to heed the warning signs they send off..at your OWN peril. But being one that "reads eyes" im telling ya folks they ARE talking to ya in a Language far beyond our yammerin. GOD likens himself to a kitty ya know?

I believe that Sandra loves Denali, and she's excellent climber, but taking him with her in opened backpack seemed a bit too much (dangerous) for me. I had shivers watching her climbing on almost vertical wall, but if cat decided to jump out, for example to reach the mountain top and something happened to him I think she wouldn't forgive herself.

My 3 cats are my family.

When we were attacked by unleashed dogs. Denali was in harness and leash and I was holding him- the dogs were trying to eat him out of my arms. So, It could have happened to anyone. I wish leash laws were upheld and people respected them. Unleashed prey driven dogs are the biggest fear to adventure cats. Another adventure cat was killed last Sunday, by an unleashed dog attack. So it can happen to anyone anywhere. We are starting a campaign to address this horrible issue. Feel free to join in and help us make a difference.

@@sassysass6659 yes I agree not putting anyone down but I would of pulled my cat up by the leash into my arms I know it’s happened to me before I also sometimes have to tell my kids to stop letting are smaller dog leash go and him walk around on his own because he is a brave little dog that we’ll fight a big dog I already know if a dog lid off leash to pull him by his leash and pick him up real quick and I try to carry my taser just in case I have not ever are would I want to hurt any animal but if a bigger dog would attack one of my smaller animals I would have to save there life

Cats can live just fine indoors. Great to leash train them at a young age so you can take them out safely. Get cat shelves and climbing poles. They love to be up high and run around. Cats are super successful predators and kill billions of small mammals, amphibians, reptiles, and bird species each year so it’s always best to not let them roam free unless they have a job as a distillery mouser or barn mouser.

You can't protect Denali in these adventures, it must have been so frightening to have lost him.

It's wrong to put that cat at risk just because you have your own whims. Cats are not what you want to describe them as because you want to express yourself in all these various negative ways and attach those desires onto this poor creature that you should be more responsible for and not put them at risk because you think life is that frivolous.

Exactly why I don't like dogs. They should have been leashed.

Hi love, Denali is perfectly healthy, happy, safe with me. The type of climbing we do, is very safe and he is tethered in. If you would like me to educate you in the different types of climbing, I would be more than happy to. Please don't judge and say hurtful things, like deserves another human, before you learn from us about climbing and how much I love my boy.

Just an FYI for the OP... I have taken screenshots of Samman's comments attacking people for expressing their opinions and notified Sheba, and suggest you do the same. Were it my company, I'd want to know about a representative that insulted consumers this way. Sadly, she obviously doesn't have the temperament nor the judgement necessary for this role.

Sorry not sorry! All my anxiety ridden brain could think was "what if?" she would never forgive herself. Yeah most cats look out windows or whatever but ALSO majority of house felines and stray or feral do not venture up that high on their own. It's not in their nature for a reason. Just my opinion.💞

"he's like my child". I am a crazy cat lady and ai have two kids and nopr noe nope. Sooo you'd go mountain climbing with your toddler on your back? Nah. I love my kitties, and they're free-range but I'd never do that. I'm sure she loves her kitty but that was just unnecessary.

@@DpacLynnShakur Thanks for your opinions and concerns. Have you ever climbed? Do you know anything about climbing? Please research the different types of climbing. I'm an expert climber, been doing it for 15 years. I usually lead up to 5.12. I would never lead climb with him, that would be dangerous. What we do is called Top Rope climbing, If I were to come off the wall, there is no danger for him or me. Him climbing with me and all the other adventures we do, are actually safer than coming across unleashed prey driven dogs- that is the only true danger to adventure cats. We have lost many of our cat friends to dogs. I invite you to join our Leash awareness crusade, to keep all adventure cats safe from unleashed dogs. Or, you can volunteer with me in helping to rescue missing cats, we have several groups set up across the country. We need all the help we can get to save kitties. :)

@@afenismama Hi, he was actually super safe. I am not sure if you know anything about climbing, but there are so many different types- what we were doing and him being harnessed and tethered to the inside of the pack was extremely safe.
