I'm glad that these programs. So important. Animals are not just teaching these men while these men teach them. The same lessons are being learned for both. It's okay to bed, and it's okay to love something, unconditionally for both animal and the human it picks. So important to learn and feel that emotion.

First, let me thank you for your service to our country, plus a thanks to your family. I have many friends & family who were or are in the military and though many have dogs, most have at least one cat, they all say the same thing, that their cats help them to relax and it also helps with PTSD, as a cat “knows” what you’re feeling or what you need emotionally. I have an autistic child, and his cats help him more than I ever thought they could, learning the responsibility of caring for all their needs & playing with them, to just sitting and holding one of them while he talks about his frustrations, problems, ect, when he won’t talk to anyone else, even me or his grandmother. I really enjoyed hearing about when you got Izzy, just about the same thing happened when my son went to look at cats in a shelter. He was wanting another one they had but it was ill, therefore wouldn’t let it go until well, he started looking at the other kittens/cats they had when suddenly he felt “someone” tugging on his shoulder, that huge kitten was reaching out from her tiny cage and whenever he tried to walk away, she’d stretch out those legs and wail at him, he asked to hold her & she immediately snuggled into his shoulder , wrapped her front legs around his neck, then began sucking on his earlobe! Needless to say, she’d picked her person and nothing would change that! That was over 10 years ago and Isabelle is still his “baby.” (even though he has 3 other cats) I’m a real believer that cats are wonderful creatures and can help us live with much less stress! Thanks again!

I got a Sherpa cat carrier and my cats fight each other to hang out in it! Probably because it’s fuzzy and cozy. They hated all the other ones. I leave the Sherpa open and put toys in it so they hang out in it willingly. It’s so much easier to get them in it to go to the vet because they love it so much!
Is this for real..? All people in this video becoming so loving, and officer is so soft spoken too.. I hope good great and lasting changes for the prisoners and cats too..

This is a truly amazing idea!! Animals are loving and accept you as you are and it's what everyone really needs. Regarding what one of the prisoners said, that everyone is too busy too write to him and it's not what he expected - unfortunately it's what you have put into your relations with others that you get back yourself. The man said he wasn't responsible towards his kids so presumably he hasn't put much effort to spend time with them, show them affection and win their trust. It's only what you have put in yourself that you get back. You can't expect affection from someone that you didn't really care for. The good thing is, he can always try to show to people that he really cares about them and after lots of efforts the connection is built - sometimes rebuilt, sometimes built for the first time. Amazing work with the animals, you guys should be very proud of yourself ! Keeping my fingers crossed for your future and the fiture of the cats 😊
