Those who will ill treat an animal will most likely ill treat other humans as well. Children beaten or even killed by parents or carers. Wives battered and killed. I have read and seen videos on tail wagging. It can indicate stress and fear as well as pleasure. How the tail is wagged is a subtle communication system. Still being researched.

I held it together until I saw he was shot 8 fu*king times. I lost. That sweet, adorable dog. What kind of monster would do this to him? I'm so impressed with how kind you are to the dogs you feed. Instead of just dropping food on the ground and leaving, you talk to them, put the food on plates, look at them, find opportunities to pet and tame them. So now you can help Bourbon because he trusts you. Perhaps, he was also someone's pet before the war, but that doesn't mean he would trust just any human. It's so important, also, to prevent packs of dogs to become hunters and see humans as prey. This helps.

With all that is happening in Ukraine at the moment i find it highly admirable that you can find the time and money to help these animals, you are wonderful people, slava Ukraine!❤.

I commend you for rescuing and getting medical attention for this beautiful soul that doesn't have a mean bone in his body. There was a red pitbull female I named Lucy about two years old and about 50 -60lbs that when I got home and opened my truck door she would jump on my lap with her front paws with something in her mouth wagging her tail wanting to play. At the time about 3 months prior I took in a yellow labrador mix I named Chuck that was in front of my house when I got home from work and I had never seen before. I gave her food and water outside my fence. I let her in a couple times to play with Chuck, but both times she got him down and went for his throat, but being playful. Not knowing her parents background I reluctantly put her outside the yard. The fifth week she was around she disappeared for two days and the third night she came back around midnight walking down the sidewalk using the fence to help hold her up. Chuck and I were very happy to see her. It appeared one of her front legs was broken. I took her to my bosses vet and 1,600 later she was sleeping between my legs at home. My boss was nice enough to pay half the bill and any follow up visits. After about 3 days she ended up with a fever and had a couple seizures. I took her back to the vet and they tested for distemper and gave her some medication used for humans with epilepsy. It seemed to work, but then a few days later her fever came back and was in a constant seizure. I took her back to the vet and they had just got the test results back and it was positive for distemper and was at a critical stage. To give her necessary treatment she would have had to be taken across Florida from the east to west coast and could cost $10,000 with no guarantee she would survive. I made the heartbreaking decision to have her euthanized. Every pet "family member" I've had euthanized, I'm always there with them for them and for my piece of mind for closure. I still think about Lucy even though it's been 12 years and I still have Chuck.

All they want is to give you their unconditional love and something to eat and feel loved. Bless their pup-pup souls.

this is why i trust dogs with my life ! they know exactly who to give love and respect back ! if you give them love and respect they give that 110 % back to you.. abandoned...shot...hit with a car...broken leg but still he comes to you with a waging tail...even in hospital he is not agressive when you touch his broken leg....this is why i trust dogs with my life !!!!
