Recipe ingredients
1 Kilo of Strawberries
500 gr. Sugar
Juice of 1 lemon
Execute Recipe
With a knife, remove the leaves and stems from the strawberries
We cut them into small pieces
We choose ripe and firm strawberries
Put 1 kg of strawberries in a bowl, and 500 g. sugar
Mix well with a wooden spoon
Cover the bowl with cling film and leave it for 1-2 hours
The sugar will release the water and moisture from the strawberries
After 1-2 hours, remove the film and mix
This way the strawberries will release their juices
Put the marinated strawberries in a saucepan
Mix and boil them on high heat, and when they boil on medium heat
Boil for 30 minutes, from the moment the boiling starts
Stir regularly, always with a wooden spoon
Remove the foam that has formed on the surface
If they swell too much, lower the heat and stir constantly
Put a spoonful of jam on a frozen plate
We draw a line with our finger on the plate, if it stays in place, the jam is ready
Pour the juice of 1 lemon, and let it boil for 2-3 minutes
After 2-3 minutes, remove from heat
Store the hot jam in sterilized jars
