NOT in order to look like you (God forbid, LOL), but because the hats seem very nice, I recently took delivery of an RB’s Hat from Sunbody. Haven’t gotten to fish with it yet, but it sure is a nice hat. Thanks for the tip (of the hat) !!

Awww come on! We need more clones! Kidding of course. I am glad you went with Sunbody. I went overboard last year because I found them on the shelf in the Fort Worth Stockyards - bought 2! One for fishing and one for fun. Just remember to wet 'em down every year - because that moisturizes them. The sun bakes the crapola out of hats - all hats. I actually found some big-billed caps in 21 as well - in the Northeast at Quaker Marine. Just don't get the black plastic (Hemmingway) bill - it totally de-laminates. Cheers!

Thank you for your review. I find that the painting of the underside of the brim is a great idea. What paint, or type of paint did you use?

Rustoleum black - can be gloss mat or flat black spray paint. For some reason it always ends up looking the same no matter which black I use. It works fantastically. Just tape off the outer edge, and stuff the crown with newspaper, then tape that inner headband off as well. It'll give you a clean line. I had a rough outer edge at first (wasn't taped off) and it was distracting.

Sounds like you should auction off that old hat since so many people want it.

Awwwww. That is too bad. Price was between 35-45 dollars. Heck of a deal. Probably made a dent in their hugely expensive hats they sell.
