Stratus Dance Club '86 - '87

7 Tracks
Track List:
Track 1: Lifelike - So Electric 0:00
Track 2: Teenage Bad Girl - Keep Up With You 6:30

@@davetozer5982 I totally agree, back then we were dreaming about the future, not realizing how perfect & fun our time was. David Copperfield must have a trick to bring us back, however this trip may erase our actual memories. Still, I would choose to go back to 83, were an hour felt like an hour. Nowadays, an hour feels like 15 minutes. Even if I missed those days, we're so much lucky to have these real memories.

Truth be told though, straight from an 80s kid, the 80s WERE amazing because everything was NEW! Musical genres ,fashion, movies and TV that had never before been done. That was the great part. Unfortunately something else was popular in the 80s and that was bullying and believe me, if you didn't fit in and fall in line you would feel the wrath, and it was no joke. People were mean. It was not like today, when bullying is frowned upon and there is a much greater degree of social acceptance. As an example, I had a couple of friends who were gay and they would literally get stomped on! People would kick the shit out of them on the regular. People used words like faggot and nigger, even in popular teen movies! I'm glad I grew up in the 80s because I got to experience a lot of firsts, but I would not want to do it over. The 90s were way cooler anyway 😎
Awesome thank for posting. My best friend starts at 4:43 - she past at 22 years old😭😭😭 so good to see her dancing again. She was so beautiful. RIP 🙏 Carolyn

Where was Stratus? I was born in 1970. Lived in San Franisco and was a huge part of the whole club scene in the 80s- 90s. Most of the best dance clubs and moments were in SOMA of SF in the 70s ,80s and 90s. Too many to recount here, but all I can say is I miss those days more than words can say. It hit me right at the perfect age. I was 18 in 1988 and I remember the height of the industrial music and underground club scene in SOMA then and taking full advantage of the all-night and after hours parties at the Stud and the End Up and on and on and on...I would get on the dance floor to a great track like "Headhunter" at 11:00 PM and never stop dancing my friggen a** off until well after 4:00 AM, just a ball of sweat and eyeliner , long blonde hair and a greek fishermans' hat and ripped up fishnet stockings and then we'd walk home, me in my thigh high leather boots and micro mini skirt and bolero jacket ...God I miss those days...
