    Old school thinking contemplates war without nukes. Every time NATO war gamed blue vs red in the Fulda Gap in Germany, the first side that felt they were losing requested tactical battlefield weapons, then the other side did likewise until it was a full scale nuclear war. I understand the Chinese thrust and ambitions. Wasn't it 1995 when a Chinese general asked if the US was willing to trade San Francisco for Taiwan in a nuclear exchange? Like we wouldn't wipe China off the map.
