Strategic quitting: Paul Rulkens at TEDxMaastricht
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Without a doubt. One of the best talks I've ever listened to, learn alot and laughed my heart out. This is an example I will share in the Art of Storytelling

Giving my work to someone else... that's management! I love that!
This man speaks fantastically well. I can only dream of ever reaching that comedic timing and level of expression in his voice.
This is probably the best talk i have ever seen. This Needs more views!
The moments of humour were brilliant. So subtle, but man, they really worked for him. Awesome talk!
Yes, one of the best TED talks! He is a great and brilliant speaker.
This is one of the best TED talks I have ever seen. Absolutely magnificent. You should also, check his other talk why the majority is wrong.

"Failure is never fatal. Success is never final." - Paul Rulkens
This talk is magnificent, we could get the substance as well as the humor. Great Paul !
Failure is seldom fatal. Success is hardly final.

Fantastic uploads. Ty, they are much appreciated.
Yes. Great once again. (I'm watching all his videos in a row.)
I love how his tie is deliberately askew and how he peppers his talk with humor to disarm the audience and waits for them to catch the joke. Clearly he is a force to be reckoned with outside this public speaking "persona."
Brilliant speaker - A combination of wit and humour !
this should be linked to the Clifton Strengths assessment. It will let you know what you are extremely good at.... and what you are NOT. I highly recommend it.
Absolutely magnificent
Totally enjoyed this!
I live this talk, especially the humor. Very well worth a listen!

@@rkalla it's even weirder than you might imagine. My parents bought a suburban home under construction when we were little, only to move in and voila! It's a primarily Jewish neighborhood. Great learning, and I would not change a thing.

Great talking. I'm brazilian. I know english a bit, not fluently. I detected that subtitles have some errors. Some I understood the correct. Some errors in subtitles were difficult for me to understand what really he says. I challenge someone to correctly transcribe the entire speech/talk. Greetings From Brazil !!! I hope somebody dare to transcript the entire talk/speech correctly. Good bye!!!

This video is eight years old, two minutes in he says “9 billion people”. In 2022 the official population count was 9 billion…
So, focusing on our few strenghs, going through the motion, and giving up the things we hate but we have to do, so that the lizard brain is happy. Amarit' ?

its more about quitting those things you know somoene else can do a better job at, like when you are in a school project and some of your mates enjoy writing and you enjoy making the lay-out/index look nice and sorted. you wil split it up, not doing both things together.
I think this is funny. :D
