No one quite told me I wouldn't be anything, but my high school VP and Counselor didn't treat me like the other students. They thought it, but never said it. I had my 20 year reunion last year and it was eventful to say the least. I went back to my small Midwestern high school - that was predominantly white, as Finance lawyer with an MBA. My former classmates were shocked to learn I was living in my own townhouse - not renting, in NYC. The VP was stunned and stood around as I conversed with former classmates. I never acknowledged her. I didn't even make eye contact with her. It was the best feeling in the world.

To be honest, that is the most stupid thing i have ever heard. Also, this guy talks nothing but lies. He says he was not raised religious, that's OBVIOUSLY a lie. If you are not raised religious you would NEVER believe that God wants you to pray to him and dedicate his life to him. You would just believe in YOUR god - not that god of some institutionalised religions. His believes are 100% judeo-christian-muslim believe system. I am from a country where 95% of the people are Atheists and no matter what hardships ever happend to me it would never make me become a christian. Even if i would believe in god i would not pray to him or believe that he cares what i think about him. Thats utterly ridiculous to believe that the creator of the universe cares for our stupid little rituals. It are always people with an already religious background who "find god" when something bad happens to them. Its basically a form of mild psychosis. I am so happy that my parents did nothing like that to me, because this kind of religious brainwash is obviously extremely hard to overcome. I truly feel sorry for every human being who wasted his life for a made up believe system that is denying basic human needs like sexuality as "sin".

I began to read the Bible starting with the book of Matthew and my eyes opened. I believed and repented. My life has not been the same since. 🥰 This scripture really hit home for me: “Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. I absolutely love this idea. I think it hits home a VERY poignant message... that we are all HUMAN. And It's amazing to see how so many missed opportunities there are when physical appearance gets in the way of raw human connection. The bottom line is, everyone agreed to talk to a stranger without seeing what they looked like, carried out good conversations, and listened to/built each other up. This would be so much more unlikely (I'd dare to say next to impossible) to happen if people just passed by one another in the park. I love this. This video inspires me to try and be more confident and just say HI or smile at people passing by, also give random compliments because it could literally at worst make them feel a little better inside, or at best, grow a new friendship. I love this video concept. Keep them coming! Thank you Thoraya!

I came here looking for this comment because I knew i could'nt be the only one!

Back then when wearing masks wasn't a thing 😭😭😭

To me it is incredible how HUGE the need of people for talking is, and how QUICKLY they open up. Strange that it works with a little arranging and structuring the opportunity and how hard it seems for the same thing to happen without it. Maybe all we need it places where people get together to talk in a way with a little structure.

Old people are the most interesting to just sit and listen to.. I just wish we'd all give our grandparents the amount of attention we do other people's. (Or maybe it's just me)

I really love these videos. It may get people to pay attention more and get to know someone without just looking at their outside and possibly making visual snap decisions about that individual person's character.

Not necessarily politically correct, just the terms aren’t interchangeable and dismissive of other kinds of Black ppl.Ive found in my 28 yrs that many non-blk ppl don’t feel comfortable saying “Black”. AA, Kenyan, Haitian, etc. all Black, but not all AA.

It's normal in 3rd world countries..... My grandad has abt 40 grandchildren. Age ranges are 45yrs old to 6 yrs old. And 19 great grandchildren

I love how the black guy and the Asian woman had similar piercings. Both double nose piercings. I really liked his double earrings too.

Thank you so much for this wonderful video! It was so encouraging to see and hear people interact so purely without any judgement based on physical appearance! The way these wonderful people were able to be honest about their lives and their experiences was very eye opening!

How do u know he’s Indian?? There r other countries in South Asia, like Pakistan, Bangladesh. Ppl who look like him aren’t always Indian 🙄 but I agree he’s really likeable

Fia Dont understand why you’re trying to imply that he’s racist for assuming he’s indian. Usually if someone’s south asian they’re indian. It’s not racist. It’s a fact. This obviously isn’t true in every instance but it’s not stupid to assume that he’s indian over bengali or pakistanti

TheNightMonkey as a Pakistani, when someone know’s im Pakistani and then calls me Indian is when i get annoyed, but yeah a normal person cant tell between us, usually when they speak is when i know what they are

TheNightMonkey I’m not implying anyone is racist. I’m just saying it’s really frustrating when ppl assume the Indian thing! Saying someone is usually Indian if they’re south Asian is like saying most Latinos r Brazilian and everyone should just assume they r until told otherwise. U see?

I love this .. how freely they talk . No fear of prejudice no nothing just meaningful conversations you would otherwise never have had with a stranger.
