There really was no need for others to get involved once they stopped the car and called the authorities. This was handled beautifully by all. People stopped and got their cars out the way.

I think some of the honking may have been other motorists alerting that there was something going on to discourage impatient idiots from trying to get around the stopped cars and enter the intersection. There was too much honking to just be the people at the back of the line.

I took a class in college and I remember reading that you have to shout to strangers for help, if you don't they'll go right past you assuming it's not that important. Notice the slight delay in people getting out of their cars to help. If you don't actively ask for help you get what's is referred to as the 'bystander effect'. It occurs when the presence of others discourages an individual from intervening in an emergency situation.

There's a part of our brain that is extremely deferential to leadership when we're in large groups. That leadership can be good, bad or indifferent.

It’s scary to see how hard it is to break a car window. Just a tip…if you ever have to break a car window to rescue someone, take the tool that you have and try to strike at the corner of the window. It’s the weakest part.

I don’t see how she’s a leader? If anything she just called attention to the situation but leading the “ charge” or “quarterbacking” the situation I can’t say she did. If anything she’s paying attention to her surroundings.I’d say that’s fair.

Yes it makes me happy too and you know the best part is that it was people of all races. An Hispanic Sargent, a black lady, and some other folks as well! It makes me happy when we all band together and help each other out. But when people be fighting and being racist it makes me soo disappointed but this, this right here gave me a bit of hope for humanity.

It is wonderful when people come together in a crisis. Lives were saved, all damage avoided, and no stress residue to anyone Everyone safe and without harm thanks to these heroes. Very good job, people, so proud of you all! Thank you.

Ok we need more people like these people. If we did get more people like them then maybe we could reduce the amount of people that die every year.

Milo X: I think it’s a little more than that. I think it’s that somebody has to realize that something’s wrong. When the first person signals this is not just somebody who’s trying to sneak out to the intersection to catch the light change, if so many people do, then people were in a position to offer their services. But you’re certainly right about that first woman being the one you want at your side in an emergency. Because she’s observant enough to see what’s going on right away, and quick thinking enough to know what to do in the moment. I hope she’s got a friend as good as she is to those around her.

This just made my horrible day way better. That was such a nice act. God shows his mercy through these great samaritans. God bless them all. Hope the lady is alright as well!

This struck a nerve on me. Just good people doing good things and getting together to help someone in need. Amazing and made me emotional

I cried watching Jeanette’s efforts to save her friend. That just overwhelmed my heart. What a beautiful, caring woman. And to all the others who helped her, you’re all amazing too. God bless you🙏🏾❤️

Props to the coworker! She read what was happening very quickly and didn't hesitate to act. Not many people think and act that fast when they notice something like that. I'm so thankful for people like her!

So glad her coworker ran out there! I wouldn’t have thought anything was wrong other than an impatient rude driver! Her bravery let the other people know something was wrong. ❤️ such a good story.

I know someone who died this way. He lost consciousness behind the wheel, I can't remember from a seizure or what, and he was killed in a collision, leaving 5 children and his wife behind. Very tragic. This is just a miraculous save.

Knowing that this happened in Florida and getting Recognition for this kind act makes me so happy

I love seeing good news for once. Theres so much more good people than bad but you just don't hear about them. Thank you for sharing. And God Bless all who helped & this lady.

That was a blessing..we need more people like her in the world.

Humanity is very much here and has not gone any wear but to be fair it can feel like it’s not there.

This restored my faith in humanity a bit, the world gets too dark and heavy to bare sometimes
