Wow, I had no idea he actually did the voice of Vecna. I thought it was a Darth Vader thing where it’s a different person doing the voice. But now that I know, it’s Jamie, I have more respect for him. It’s phenomenal.

I thought it was special effects to the audio.

His voice is so soothing to me. Even as Vecna his voice is kinda velvety, dark, and eerily sexy. I need him to do audio books. I don't care what he reads I just wanna listen.

It's pretty wild to see that a lot of actors who have accents usually have a deep voice in their native tongue but in American English their voice is high-pitched

I think he intentionally spoke in a higher pitch when playing as the orderly in Hawkins lab, in order to make it less obvious that he's Vecna early on.

Americans definitely do speak in a higher pitch. Both men and women. (Obviously not all of them, but generally) You'll start to notice it a lot more now that you're looking for it lol.

Not gonna like His voice as Henry gave me the chills!!! I knew he had a British accent, but his character as Henry just gave me creepy, sinister vibes. I knew he wasn’t up to good from the beginning, but once he revealed himself as Vecna , I fucking LOST IT 😂

It's really a language thing. When I speak in my native language (Spanish) my voice sounds deeper than when I speak English (which I speak it with an American accent). There was a better explanation for this, but I can't remember it right now.

American accent is absolutely the easiest for none-American English speakers to imitate.

@@glitzgarcia8281 Brits have a knack for imitating accents well. We have over 40 different accents/dialects, so we are surrounded by them all the time and understand them well (well, some accents are so strong that hardly anyone can understand them here, never mind people who aren't from here!) Which in turn makes it easier to imitate. We've also grown up exposed to American films and TV shows, which explains why we are better at imitating American accents than they are ours. A lot of Americans have only heard a couple of different British accents, which are the easiest ones to understand, but also we hear them (American accents) more than they hear us, so it's harder for them. Boston accent is definitely more noticeable than other genertic accents in the US, but still a very easy one.

Have you seen him in Sweeney Todd? That's basically what he sounded like 10 years ago when that movie came out. It's deepened because he's aged but he also sings in a higher register (as he said) so it's probably actually not that hard to find it when he needs it.

Jamie voice and demeanor are very suitable for playing villain. Even without costume, I think he can be a scary villain.

I don't know this man, never watched stranger things, just happened to come across a clip of him doing the voice. The second I heard him speaking in that voice I knew this man was a metalhead.. Stuff like this doesn't just come to you unless you have an idea of how to do harsh vocal techniques. Nice to hear he's a Norma Jean fan.

I think, almost all interviews where he is in this Outfit where shooted in the same day. To example: If you watch interviews from Spiderman, there are many interviews, where Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob wear the same uutfit in many interviews.
