it's kinda hilarious how gentle and kind Jamie is considering he's playing one of the most violent, aggressive characters in the whole show. and aside from that he's such a talent. i dont think anyone else could capture Vecna/Henry/01 like Jamie.

I hope he gets an Emmy nomination next year. He really did put his all into this. Everyone else was great too but he got into character in so many different ways and was just phenomenal. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves now. Been a fan since twilight but come on, he deserves the same amount of fame like every other cast member.

The cool thing about Vecna is that until now, the characters have mainly been facing detached, larger-than-life threats -- surreal entities that only appear in visions, and mindless monsters that only attack indiscriminately. But Vecna is a threat that feels so much more personal, as not only does he directly contact his victims almost to the point of real-world physical encounters, he gets in their head by forcing them to relive their worst moments rather than trying to create new ones. That sense of familiarity is what separates him from the other antagonists of the series, as fighting some*one* that possesses their own memories and motivations makes him all the more human; and going against one of your own is a different level of disturbing, especially when you consider that he actually is human.

The fascinating thing about Vecna is that for all we know, all the monsters in the upside down could actually be rather innocent. It could’ve just been Vecna controlling them and making them do these terrible things this whole time. It’s already been confirmed that he was the one controlling the Mind Flayer, so for all we know, he could be the one controlling the entire Upside Down as a whole. It also explains why the Upside Down now looks like a parallel version of Hawkins, when that wasn’t the case before.

Jamie's acting is outstanding. He should've received an award for his acting in this. His facial expression, his voice, everything is just all so perfect and excellent!

What’s harder than being Vecna,it’s becoming Vecna and drinking starbucks at the same time :)

You can tell that the rest of the cast and crew is in awe of him, and it’s not surprising. He did a phenomenal job

Jaimie was so great as henry/vecna he did a wonderful job of portraying the creepiness of the character. The way he uses his voice the slow deep way he speaks and the way he looks at his victims definitely gave me chills. Stranger Things always does a great job with casting.

The fact that he went through that every single day and never complained just shows you the type of guy he is. Makes me appreciate the show that much more 💛

The general American accent (whatever that may be) is easy to replicate.

Jamie's regular voice as Henry just give me chills everytime, compared to his vecna voice, it's so satisfying and relaxing. He could start an asmr or podcast and i would gladly listen to it any day to sleep on it

It's always like the most chillest people who play the most sociopathic like characters, and then when they are the character they can be so passive aggressive just like he said when he saw Millie, "And I'm crazy so-" he was being evil but when he gave her a hug he was being himself and not Vecna. Actors and makeup artists etc deserve a lot.

The fact that every cast appreciated Jamie's patience and hardwork in wearing those costumes everyday on the set is everything. How can Jamie still smile wearing those costumes for so long he's even happy when he saw the visualization of the costume he was about to wear.

it’s more kinda like gus’ half-blown off head from breaking bad, they used the live action makeup for reference for the cgi on top of it

the make up is so amazing sometimes the visual effects take away from the masterpiece of art its still beyond stunning work and one of the greatest series an possible the best series to ever be on netflix thus far

Vecna is one of my favorite villains of all time. The slow, methodical movements. The VOICE, amazing! I rewound his scenes over and over.

What a ridiculously charming guy Jamie is. Since this show came out I’ve watched more interviews of him than I can count. Loved him in Sweeney Todd and Mortal Instruments. Well done to whoever casted him because you couldn’t have found a more perfect vecna and Henry.

I've loved him since 2013 when he was in The Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones. I grew up loving Twilight but I wasn't a biggest fan of his character in Twilight haha

Vecna is horror's Darth Vader! the voice! the presence! the visual and audio impact! its like how alien was the perfect space monster. we now have Vecna. Jamie is awesome as Vecna and a perfect choice. What a great talent of actors and makeup/costume designers this series has. they should be winning accolades. just brilliant and such dedication from all involved!

Why am I smiling watching this interview? This guy is really talented yet so humble. I hope we see more of him on the big screen. I started watching stranger things because Vecna became viral

This guy is brilliant. I must say he was even scarier in his own body than in Vecnas. How he acted being 001. (I think everybody knew from the beginning that he was 001) and how he literally became a villain from kind big brother. This is the whole another level. Absolutely loved it.

I have been a fan of Jamie’s for years now and was floored by his performance in this show. He is phenomenal and I hope this opens up even more doors for him down the road. Can’t wait to see more of him.

This is the perfect proof in the pudding that it's important to mix both practical effects with vfx in a beautiful balance. It keeps the viewer invested, and there isn't a moment where we are saying to ourselves. "Oh, that isn't real at all." Huge props to the designers for Vecna's suit, and the make up crew prepping Jamie for hours into the suit.

Jamie Campbell Bower is such a beautiful man with a languid physicality. I am astounded how he becomes such a grotesque new version of the character through painstakingly applied prosthetics and it is his own voice work for each character. Such amazing casting and fantastic acting. Great job & thank you to everyone involved!

Her look definitely has a 60s feel to it. I was gonna say she looks like a younger Jacqueline Bisset, but now I'm not so sure.

Jamie just did such an amazing job, he was incredible! but this costume designers are mindblowing as well!

Jamie even talking in this interview.. Man I understand why the Duffer Brothers fell in love with his voice too!

Vecna was just the ultimate villain for this show. Amazingly portrayed by Jamie and the skills of the prosthetics team was just perfection.

I love Jamie for the actor he is. Through Vecna we could see HOW MUCH he was dedicated to the character. Heads off to the Duffer brothers. The level of creation and imagination for this show is out of this world. Again Jamie - where do I even start from. If a character can get inside our heads at such an intimidating level then you know it is second to none. Everything about this show is just OUTSTANDING Also - THE VOICE🥶

We all LOVE your voice, Jamie. Alan Rickman had such a deep, pleasant voice. Sadly, we can‘t listen to him anymore, but now we‘ve got you!

I’m glad they chose Jamie to play Vecna, no other actor could portray this character as good as him! The voice, presence, and acting is all so good! Huge props to the prosthetic and makeup team 😃

Ik it’s been said but I think it’s so cool they actually put Jamie in the suit - not just have a stand in wear it for the scenes where he’s venca- it’s cool bc the one/venca movements translate so smoothly over both appearances (bc it’s the same actor in both !)

The fact that the "Vecna Order of Application" at 2:03 still has "sent from my iPad" at the bottom is hilarious

Henry always gave off Willy Wonka by Johnny Depp vibes with the way he talked. Almost too sweet.. Love Jamie as an actor!!!

Jamie is such a talented actor/performer and he made an amazing work with his character! Could,'t imagine a better casting. As well the character design and prosthetics were on point. I have such an admiration for the makeup department!

Also funny thing, I actually called Brenner “Papa” when discussing his character with a someone (as one does) but only because I didn’t know what his real name was supposed to be. Now I know it’s Brenner I guess. Hopper still the superior human father overall though.

I absolutely love shit like this. Hats off to the make up department and to Jamie to absolutely nailing it as Vecna.

What you've done to create Vecna is pure perfection. I love it, all of it, the music, the clothes, the feel of 80's… I am so pleased it's not the end.

The prosthetics are absolutely incredible, the team who made them are so underrated and really need more credit

Sailing through the episodes you forget how much hard work goes into every little detail!

I thought it was such a great idea for Eleven to finally see Vecna for the first time when they were ready to record. She genuinely looked terrified from what I felt!

Can't believe behind those fleshy Vecna is cinnamon roll Jamie. Such a great work!

Amount of Hardwork Stranger things team have put is Out of Box. definitely deserves 10/10

Honestly these people who did the VFX and Makeup need to win Oscars for how good this stuff is

This was such an awesome season in the series… the huge 80’e horror element (and Robert Englund’s appearance)just made me so happy. And Eddie Munson is my favorite stranger things character of all time!

bro the actors for the villains are some of my favorite actors in stranger things. Both Billy (Dacre Montgomery) and Henry/Vecna/One are amazing actors and gave so much more emotion and fear into the scenes. It's very difficult to act a villain and they both fuckin nailed it.
