Now I feel old. You never saw a manual pencil sharpener. Also a lot of adults dress up and have parties on Halloween and still hand out candy.

She wants to go trick-or-treating as a ghost because she'd fit in well with the ghostbusters costumes (in addition to being anonymous). She's clearly been watching them (or at least Mike) with her remote viewing ability.

7:01 - "Is that how they used to sharpen their pencil?" - Yes. Most classrooms had one of those. There were two angled grinders inside that would put a perfect point on your pencil, and the shavings were collected in the body, which could be removed for emptying. Most also had a rotating disc on the front with different sized holes, which was meant to hold different sized pencils steady, but it almost never got used as everyone just had standard sized pencils. Some people had similar pencil sharpeners at home. We had a plastic one fastened to the inside of the kitchen pantry door.

It's amazing how much we felt Steve was a jerk the first season, and even potentially ONLY trying to get into Nancy's pants, and now being heartbroken when we see the look on his face with the "You don't love me?" talk.

Just binged your whole Stranger Things playlist and had a blast!!! So fun, I love the editing on your videos, and you have a good balance between, like, reacting to the show as well as discussing things, like, it doesn't feel too bloated/like you're not paying attention to the show in favour of talking, but also doesn't feel like you're just sitting there staring at the show and not adding anything, if that makes sense??? It's just a really good balance of commentary and stuff lol, I don't really know how to word what I mean, but TL;DR, great videos, very fun!!!

Thanks Mary! Again, so glad you are doing this series. I really enjoy your insights and comments. It's the characters and relationships that make this show so incredible. They've all had it rough, but Will and El, most of all, have been deprived of anything resembling a normal childhood. It's heartbreaking to see them go through that.

I went to a fair few house parties back in the 80s as a teenager in Scotland; some were great, some not so much, while others saw houses wrecked (when there's so many people, there's a chance some bad ones will get in). But the best ones arrived as a university/college student. Oh yeah!

I only went to one house party during high school, (at the start of the final year) but yeah, everyone was very respectful of the house and each other largely idk (it was like 120 people, half of our year group)

Those house parties … far more common in movies. Where I grew up, everyone went to the quarry (no adults to interfere).

In the 1980's in California, House Parties just like this were very common. IF it wasn't someone at your school throwing a party then one of the nearby high schools had a party. I used to like going to other schools parties better than my own, because you were around new girls and got to be the new guy. The 80's was a very fun time, really a Golden Age for teenagers. Before stricter laws and social media garbage.
