Old video, but worth a comment. I remember reading a post a while back explaining this sound. The poster claimed it was without doubt a process called "pigging". More than likely "smart pigging", where a "PIG" or "Pipeline Inspection Gauge", is run through remote oil or gas pipelines and can absolutely make these types of resonant sounds.

That sounds suspiciously like it's coming from an amplified source, i.e. speaker in an enclosure. It's sure eerie sounding, but too much tunnel or hallway modification applied for it to maintain any organic sensation.

That’s definitely someone hill climbing on a snowmobile. The part you think is laughter is the rider feathering the throttle. Later in the video you can hear him hold the throttle open for several seconds. We hear that exact same noise constantly in the winter from snowmobiles running a mile or two away from our position. It was a bit spooky the first time we heard it and until we realized what it was.

They weren't reacting to the sounds as they were happening though; this is very evident in the video. During the sound they both speak casually; I know if I was there and heard it, I'd freeze and stare at the other person with wide eyes without saying a word. And when he said "yeah... that was loud" and they started walking, it was a good while after the sound had stopped. During the sound neither of them reacted.

Really frightening sound, I heard aswell myself a couple of times! I live close to a barn with cattle. When new cattle arrive, they "talk" to each other resulting in exactly (!) this eery sound. First time I heard it, I thought of a scene in Lost haha. So I guess when cows can make noises like this, moose can do it just as good... Definitely nothing that cannot be explained! greets

They live in drainage pipes and inside Old mines and caves so when they decide to scream there's that echo that comes with it from being underground or inside a large hole that creates that echo

They react too calmly and non-chalant to the noise. I know if it was me, I wouldn't be laughing but making the snow yellow instead from fear.

It wasnt winter tho. If u check online “weird trumped noises from the sky”, and ull find its actually a phenomena experienced around the world, but theres no real clear explanation around. Hi idk if this account owner is still active but i just saw several videos of recent,all taken in Ireland where they reported and documented loud metallic -like sounds coming out of no where,kind of like this video. There's also recent reports of something like this in the US. The Ireland incident happened on 20th June 2023.

I love people's half hearted suggestions. It sounds nothing like bears, it sounds nothing like moose/elk, it sounds nothing like drilling, it sounds nothing like any known machinery.

he would have to have huge speakers behind him with an incredibly loud deep bass! no regular speaker could make a sound like that. who would bring huge concert size speakers out to the forest in the snow. that noise obviously came from above them.

Just a theory; It could be a storage facility under the ground you were on. Say it was large enough to warrant hanging catwalks and some type of inner heating. The changes in temperature could be warping the metal.

I saw someone suggest it was a snowmobile, first few times being repeated short pulls on the throttle with the long one having it redlined. Definitely sounds mechanical in nature, with the normal amount of reverb you'd hear from a bike going through a city.

this keeps coming up in my recommendations and its creeping me out because my birthday is January 15th

I know there was a decently large well near my cabin in canada, when the wind hit it fast enough and at the right angle it made a very similar sound. If not something like this then it is definitely an alien spacecraft giving a proximity warning. That's literally the only thing it can possibly be

Sounds just like Humpback whales. I used to have about 40 minutes on a record when I was young. I listened to them a lot. Sounds like someone has a really good sound system and is playing whale songs . . . deep in the woods . . . far from everything. :P

I kind of wish I could hear it for myself, but then again, I really don't want to, lol. It's enough for me to hear it on other people's videos. Wicked scary, I think. My blood runs cold just hearing it on youtube. Even though I haven't heard this in person, I have seen what I would call a ghost/other world spirit, and I tell people who laugh at me for saying that the same thing you're saying - just wait until you see one, it's like nothing you've ever experienced. Then they'll understand! The most terrifying things in life are those things that do not seem to be of this world.

This is no joke, my thermos brand coffee cup makes that exact sound as the coffee is cooling inside the cup, and the cup is sucking air because of the drop in pressure as the cup cools.. it drove me crazy quite a few times trying to figure out what that sound was. I finally figured it out one night when I picked up my coffee cup to take a swig, and I opened the latch with my thumb to take a sip, the sound quit That is the exact sound.. I bet that the sound these people have recorded is coming up through the ground because of pressure differential

Sounds like an ice fissure. In those valleys it would sound incredible. But that sounds very unusual almost like something that was heard in Romania a long time ago. Legends say their are dragons in the northern regions of the world. Could be them.

For a more detailed and scientific explanation of this look up the seven trumpets of the apocalypse explained. That is where I got this information. The sound is of the earth moving. It always is moving and making sound at a frequency humans can't hear. When this happens the earth is moving ether slow enough or fast enough, I don't remember, to have the right vibration. The reason I connect this video with the trumpets of apocalypse video is because something similar was used as another example. timing on when the sounds were recorded by the camera and when the witnesses mention hearing the sounds are off, discernably, at least twice. Once when the girl mentions "did you hear that" and the last time you hear the sound, he mentions it's close by and they start moving, but he mentions hearing it after the sound has already ended versus right when the sound starts. It's a little sus.

I've spent so much time in the woods it's still a part of me 17 years later. That was no animal. I can say that with 100% certainty. If it was it wasn't of this earth. And that I can say with 100% certainty. No animal I have heard short of perhaps the savannas makes that sound. And the direction of the sound was clearly upwards.

All jokes aside... I can understand why people would consider this the same as the typicall "Trumpets" that everyone heard a few years back... but I've seen a lot of those videos and they all seem similar...this one sounds like something entirely different. I'm dead serious, it sounds alive and as if it's laughing at first. The noises after the laughing sound sort of similar to the trumpets, but still very different. I feel crazy saying this, because while I'm a believer in a great many paranormal things, I mostly try to disprove everything I come across as "Oh that's just a Red Fox making that sound" or something... but this... I don't know what it is, but I don't think it's the same thing caushing the "Trumpet sounds in the sky" ...again, it seems alive and no joke... the first place my mind goes is Troll(s) That's way too big of a sound for something like Bigfoot or whatever, it's obviously not "Mountain Whales" or "Sky Whales" like people are jokingly commenting. I find it hard to be stumped as to what things could be, but I have no clue. Granted... unless the sound was completely fabricated and edited into the video, which is a possibility. I love this video though.

About 4 months ago to a 1yr. Oklahoma, resident's from a small town we're complaining of similar sounds. It turns out that there was an old oil field that needed servicing. Some investigator's went to see what was really happening as it turns out it was these oil drilling machines that we're making these noises. It was metal gridding against Earth's hard surfaces.

There are big natural gas pumps here where we used to go hunting and when they worked on them occasionally they would make this noise. Eerie as fuck! But the crew stopped by all the hunting camps they could see to let us know what it was. They were cleaning the actual pipes with a (this doesn't sound right but im sure this is what he called it) pipe pig. We went and watched it basically was like a barrel on an air compressor that pushed its way through the pipes and cleaned with air as it went along.

I heard this yesterday at midnight in northern Bristol, same sounds as towards the end of the video.

I heard that same laugh in kcmo east of blue ridge an south of truman rd in that wooded area it seemed like it was all around me echoing off the trees ...where was you guys hiking ????

Yeah, i first thought it might be a machine or ice making noises from the wind but it sounds like its a living thing

I swear I heard a much scarier version of that sound in Turkey back in 2010 when I was 9 years old. It was 11 P.M. and I had two cousins ​​with me, 2 years older and 1 year younger. My cousins ​​hadn't heard the sound. We were in the garden of a house a little far away in the village where my grandparents lived. It's the only paranormal thing I've ever experienced in my life. The sound I heard lasted longer than the sound in this video and sounded more like human laughter. I heard a very loud laughter from the sky at two different times, about 10 seconds apart. I cried for hours because my cousins ​​did not hear it and only I heard this terrible sound. The place where I heard the voice is Uzunhaci Village of Tekirdag province in Turkey. I play Subnautica daily since Beta and I assure you, these are not. And Sub was released in 2014. this is from early 2013. One year too soon.

I create sounds like this very easily with a guitar (or keyboard) and many effects boxes. That said, I’m not sure what this is. It does sound analog as opposed to digital but then that can be altered to one or the other very easily anyway. I have perfect pitch (musicians will know how useful and uncommon this is) and it does sound slightly manufactured...or at least mechanical rather than organic; meaning it’s not an animal.

This could be the sound of ice "singing". When ice on lakes that are regulated, is liftet up by water coming in to the lake, or sinking when the water is living the lake, running down to the powerstation, it makes very similar noises..

Sounds like some sort of huge cosmic entity laughing at the stupid humans trying to figure out what the sound is.

those noises have been debunked i believe. correct me if i wrong because i saw this on a documentary probably over 2 years ago but it showed very similar videos to this with the extremely loud noise coming from the sky. i think its something to do with the clouds and hot and cold weather. again dont take my word for it but it did have a perfectly reasonable explanation. if anyone can extend on this or knows the documentary im talking about please comment!

Effie Films when the planet moves it sometimes creates a sound and I remember that every planet makes its own sound so these sounds are caused by the earth moving.

Guys, this made me cry lol I heard this too on January but in America. I didn't know what it was and I was 11 and i just turned 12 last month and I ran for my life to my house thinking I was going to die. We are living in a crazy mixed up world my friends.

Almost 4 yrs on and I see no reports of earth sounds anymore. I wonder why, but I won't be losing any sleep over it.

Sound from far away on a winters overcast day can bounce off moisture laden clouds. It gets distorted by winds, and changing cloud formations.

That sounded like a dinosaur
