Reducing the power just makes it cycle off and on over several seconds. 50% power is on full power for 5 seconds then off for 5 seconds. 10% is on full power for 1 second and off for 9. They're not all on a 10 second cycle, but none of them cycle fast enough to heat evenly over 30 seconds. The water actually absorbs some of the power, reducing it evenly.

We do have curly wurly in germany too - back in the 70 it was named 3 musketiere (3 musketeers) and it is the same taste as back in time. I really miss some of the childhood snacks. Thanks for your great reviews - I love every single one of them, even if I can´t get most of the thing here. Greeting and stay healthy

On thinner items, I think I would just watch through the window for the desired melting and stop it there. I don’t think I’ve seen a product yet that I need to rush out and buy. Most are just marketing gimmicks that that just waste space to make an already easy job easier. That being said, I find myself itching for your next video! I love your reviews and you are among the best of the best KZread reviewers! Keep ‘em coming! And as always, we need more Bailey! 😎

Hi from the U.K. In the U.K. we had marathon bars which where renamed snicker bars. They have hazel nuts and nougat in them covered in chocolate. The curly wurly is just soft caramel with chocolate on top. We put ours in the fridge so they snap when cold. Yes they are chewy buts that’s the fun of them.

I remember the Marathon Bar and yes, it wasn't THAT chewy! I loved that candy bar too. I had found the UK version a while ago but didn't order it. 40 years ago! Where has the time gone?!?!? The best part of S'mores is the charred marshmallow. Microwaves can't replicate that but the stove top can.

And from a Brit that used to be around that long ago, we used to have a Marathon bar that's what now gets called a Snickers, and your Milky Way is what we call a Mars Bar, and I have no idea what you call our Milky Way (small bars with lighter fluffier caramel.

US version of Milky Way is what a Mars bar is in the UK ...the nearest thing to a UK Milky Way could be US Three Musketeers... the UK Milky Way has like a soft vanilla filling and doesn't have any caramel at all

I like the idea of the graham cracker getting steamed a bit. I have trouble chewing really crispy things. My 9 yr old nephew would get into making these! Yes! The marathon bar was really chewy. Thats one of the reasons i loved it so much! Youre right it was a lot thicker. My absolute favorite was the Powerhouse bar! Ive never found it made under another name though 🙁

In the UK in the 1970, a marathon was a different bar to the USA our Marathons are now called Snickers. Cury-wurlies were always called that and in the UK we have a thing called shrinkflation whereby the price goes up and the size of the items get smaller. Also the caramel would have been a lot softer if it was consumed at room temperature.

I remember Sorted Food doing that smores maker a couple of years ago. For what you get and what it does, it's horrendously expensive. You could do the same thing with a glass of water and two small plates. At the end of it, you could always blowtorch the marshmallows to get the char on them, too.

I learned from a friend at the age of eleven (I’m now 54) to put a marshmallow on top of a graham cracker in the microwave. Put it for ten seconds. But just watch the marshmallow get big. Once it is a bit bigger than the cracker, stop the microwave. Add chocolate and the other cracker and eat! ☺️

My brother got me this for mothers day 3 years ago. He even got me the little box where you can put all of your s'mores supplies in. It works and it's fine but I learned that putting the Graham cracker in the microwave with the marshmallow for 10 seconds then slapping the chocolate and other cracker on top works just fine. Plus, we love roasting the marshmallows over the fire pit on a nice fall night. It's nothing like it. So it's fine, it works. But idk why it's useful. It's easier to make s'mores a different way. Plus you dont get that smoky flavor from an open flame over a fire pit.

Always fun to watch your review videos. Reasonably objective, and you give it an honest shot as usual. I wonder what the water is for? Probably to offset some of the microwave's power and provide a more even warming effect. I do recall some tips about cooking certain things with a cup of water. Huh, PB and cheese. I haven't had that in years. Yeah, it's a thing. It's an odd sounding combination that just works (not as well as say, PB and Chocolate, but it's still pretty solid). It's partly psychological, as most subjective things are. If you go in expecting it to taste off or bad, it's not surprising that you won't enjoy it much. That said, naturally it's not for everyone. If you like cheese and you like PB, it should work. And of course the bar is chewy, the caramel hardened in the fridge. If it was room temperature it would be much softer.
