Everytime a human saves an Orca, I believe that Orca tells other Orcas of our kindness, and this makes them like us and part of why we're safe around them. Beautiful creatures, who are really big Dolphins.

Seeing it finally swim away had me smiling like a kid. That was the most genuine facial expression I had in years. They are far too intelligent creatures to abandon a baby. They can communicate over a very long distance. It just needed a little push from another intelligent creature to make it home. What a feel good story 😊

This is clearly a very young Orca and still learning to hunt. It's not uncommon for Orcas who hunt close to shore to get themselves beached. And also some Orcas who are separated from their mums at a young age may not know how to survive so they purposely beach themselves.

Orca pod: hey little buddy, where have you been? Little orca: um…. Orca pod: you went chasing after surf perch again, have you? Got beached again? Tsk tsk…. Little orca: yeah….but these tiny land walkers pushed me back in the water. They were yelling things and waving their tiny fins. Probably told me to stay off their beach. Orca pod: silly hoomans.
