    Love how Sandeul only had one short clip of strain because he acknowledges what he can and can't do, so doesn't go out of his supported range very often

    The thing is, he used reinforced falsetto And falsetto is a disconnected register so that's why his (supposed) mixing in fifth-octave sounds really hurt and bland And yes, there's almost no Tenor in the world who can support E5 above with mixed voice And I don't know why are some idols really obsessed with covering this song while even the original singer was straining to hit multiple G5 in this song

    The most impressive thing about Chen is his low notes. His great mixing allows him to belt very high and sound good even when straining, but being able to support all the way down to A2 as a relatively high tenor is quite a feat. That’s why he has a 2 octave supported range.

  • @LiZa-kj6dy

    @LiZa-kj6dy

    3 жыл бұрын

    He can reach B1. Like that really shookt me when i saw exo low note battle. His voice is so high sitting but he has ease on super low bass notes. That's too impressive for a tenor. It's definitely not an easy thing to do and I think Chen's low notes deserves just as much hype as his high notes.

  • @VocalStation

    @VocalStation

    3 жыл бұрын

    @Pinkii Lights the same is mostly true for female vocalists as well. I don’t really know why. There has been some speculation that K-Pop’s great vocalists were great on their own accord, and that SM’s vocal training was never as great as it was said to be, but I really wonder where all the great singers have gone. I hope Ningning continues to improve in aespa. There are also rumours that SM is debuting a new boy group outside of NCT, so we’ll see how that turns out.

    So many idols strain and it's really sad. The industry has the money and connections to help make some of them great singers, but the lack of caring and pure ignorance is just astounding within Kpop. And it's not the idols fault, but the fault of the companies for just allowing anything.

  • @bandotaku

    @@skyfall312 That's the difference between strained and supported. Kyuhyun has some of the best technique of any vocalist, so his supported notes always sound open and free, even when he gets to the highest parts of his range before straining. When you feel the discomfort is when you notice the strain.

    It might be because Kens voice can handle strain better, like baekhyun for example. He can go out of his supported range and in doing so strains but it doesn't sound bad to the ear because his voice can handle it without ruining his vocal chords, however with Leo, it's definitely due to having terrible technique (weak) to be exact however I think Ken is (average or above) idk

    Stan KimJongdae true, but if all you ever do is strain even in your "supported" range, then you can't exactly call yourself a vocalist, for example jungkook who prefers style over technique might sound "Angel" like to some people but in fact it's very weak and nasally which is due to the lack of technique since he has weak technique.

    Jungkook is shaking with this video and "he is improving" is a myth. I think BTS vocal line is heavily influenced by his improper singing and it's a shame. I want to see how much damage he already has in his voice.

    i shouldn't be your go to hehe, all my knowledge is based on this blog: kpopvocalanalysis.net/, in which Kyuhyun is ranked as the better vocalist (in fact possibly the best male k-pop idol overall), but Ryeweok is reaally good too. you can read both their vocal analyses on that site:)

    You breathe and let sound come out to put it simply. Ailee warms up by walking around saying "Yah" in a loud voice that isn't shouting. So Hyang, Lara Fabian, and David Phelps are all perfect examples of belting.
