I haven't had a chance to visit Holland . It's on the "bucket list". I got lucky and got to speak with Franco while he was at Spanibis via the computer. Finally got to speak with someone, I admired and as usual, I couldn't think of what I wanted to say. A little star struck. lol . Being he was such an easy guy to talk to there was never silence in the air. It's hard not to feel selfish and not to feel he was taken from us. I loved when a new strainhunters show would come out. Watching this Columbia series is a treat But I really learned a lot watching Franco and Arjan's individual plant growing vids. You have to remember your history. Arjan and Franco were doing, what they do, all the way back in the 90's long before anyone else started. I still don't know of any company that travels the world looking to add to their extensive library. Most pot companies just push pot down your throat just to make a sale. Arjan needs to have kids to carry on the legacy . LMAO !!!!!

I've noticed calyx size getting smaller and smaller over the decades. I prefer colas with massive calyx's. We used to get amazing lime green mid-grades that were perfectly cured with fat calyx's. I feel like breeders are neglecting certain aspects of gene selection in the hopes of getting really high THC ratios, and I wish they would focus on things like calyx size, and terps, instead. I miss the illegal cannabis market. It was more diverse, more heady.

back in middle 70s most weed came from columbia and it was brown never got that but also always had seeds which was good and bad depending on who you got it from ,but loved the seeds because we grew from them but had to hide them because its was jail time if caught ,the brown columbian weed had a very distinctive smell and taste ,then you had columbian gold which only came around at certain times usually no seeds and was gold in color just wanted to pass a little of my story along but now dont know why it was so brown ,some said they buried it but had buried weed before and tasted like dirt (dirt weed ) when late summer came around september ,october you wouldnt get any weed i guess because they were being harvested, but I tell ya will never forget the taste of the weed and still searching,im 60 years old now and stopped smoking for awhile because of my job but last year grew my first grow in 34 years and its a medicimal thing now ,hats off to the internet and all these cool people that didnt give up and made the plant so much better we just didnt know what we know now so our grow from the seeds wasnt very good usually so we smoked it when we couldnt get the columbian

The original northern lights x big bud from the late 90's early 2000's along with critical mass and the real pre 2000's white rhino - white widow are all gone nowadays, you used to get a room with maybe 8 plants under 3 600w lights giving off 3-5oz of absolute prime smoke and thats all been replaced with finished in 70 days with maximum 2oz unless you want to veg them along for over 2 months. Its just annoying nowadays getting something you think will be an original of something you did before that had a great return but the new supposedly improved version barely even got 2oz on it as its starting to mature and finish up. I miss walking into a room as a teenager and having a big old 1.2 to 1.5m doorman shaped plant stood there greeting me and not knowing whether or not to pull out my ID. I've tried around 8 different strains and watched about 15 through friends in the last 2 and a half and none of them have been anything near what the yields used to be but again it wasn't only yields. It was unique flavours a heady strength that made you dry at the mouth laugh like youd just seen a fat person fall amd struggle to stand back up and not be able to finish the whole joint you stupidly packed underestimating the strain😂some of the best weed I've ever had has literally smelled like next to nothing but when you grind it and light it up it was completely unreal, thick smoke, brand new tyre smell in the air, severe couchlocking usually rendering us stuck on the mountain on our bikes not wanting to move to get home and a perfect grey ash all the way through, I miss that kind of weed. Stardawg, ammo, gelato, all these fake cali strains and even the real ones are stupidly over hyped. Bring back the real original UK cheese from the 90's the one that tasted like earth, soily-ness, piney, with those amazing citrus afternotes👌until I see something that makes it worth the risk for of even trying to grow personal amounts ive decided to stop as it wasnt worth it anymore. On a small personal room alot of these new strains barely produce more than the electric costs

I once had seeds off an accidentally selfed original cheese back in 2012 but misplaced them and haven't found them since and bcus most was immature I didn't think they were any good lol..from what I remember original cheese smelled like cheese snaps...problem in UK is nobody grows it good anymore they just do it for money so its all dry with no flavour or smell and that's how its been for nearly a decade so at this point I would be happy with anything as long as it was done properly lol..

Here in uk our black market was heavily influenced by the dutch genetics too for a clear decade super lemon haze, cheese and amnesia or just random haze were running things here! Obv there were smaller amounts of other stuff but the main constant bulk commercial supply was those 3 strains.. Still to this day i rate the uk cheese as one of the best ever strains for sleep and stress! We had a particular cutting of it here that was just special, its the only time iv ever rly tried un cured fresh flower and been sedated still! :D

Just count your blessings you're not in the Deep South of the United States. Cops are Nazis about it here. Another thing that sucks is the climate. Our climate would be excellent for growing cannabis. There is no chance of frost between May and November here. Even during the winter, it seldom ever gets below 0 C, and even then it's only a day or two. You could grow year-round in a heated greenhouse. Thankfully, it appears the law will change soon. Cannabis will likely become currency here.

Franco would be proud of the legalization in America and how scientific these grow ops have become... I'm still passing the knowledge and spreading the word since 2007.

It pains me. *Escobar* didn't have much sentiments towards most Mexicans. 1st impressions are everything! So shame!! On the nob-head that gave us a bad rep with him. Anyways, just wanted to write.. Thank youu, for not skipping the kind legit hardworking gentleman towards the end of the video. This struggle... The Colombian Struggle, we know too. 1

Too bad Arjan wasn't born yet in the 60s and early 70s when the true strain hunters were traveling the world collecting and preserving landraces. I doubt there were any left in 2013 but looks like a fun trip. Good promo for your seed co.
