Maverick appears to have been a vintage aftershave that (based on a photo) was made by/for German international discount retailer chain LIDL. The photo I saw was distributed by LIDL UK. It appears they used to have three different ones: After Shave blau (UPC 20043681), After Shave schwarz (UPC 20106980) and After Shave silber (UPC 20043698). I assume it was a budget aftershave. It appears that LIDL now only offer two different after shaves: allMan Fearless after shave (clean oakmoss & vetiver type scent), allMan Defiance after shave (light fruit/aquatic scent), plus allMan Refinded after shave balm. Some US reviewers thought these budget after shaves were a good bargain. They also appears to be sold in different areas of Europe as Cien Men X-Bolt, Cien Men Aqua and Cien Men Balm (and possibly Biocura Man Ocean Blue and Deep Blue). One shaving forum had an extended discussion about these products. I probably will never go down the straight razor rabbit hole, but I was just wondering if you get a considerably closer shave than with your favorite double edge safety razor (and what might that razor be?). I usually shave with two different SE razors (RazoRock Hawk V3 Open Comb (for WTG) and Classic Shaving Occam's Razor (for XTG), both with Feather Professional Super blades) and end with an iKon Tech DE razor (for ATG) with a Feather Super Stainless. Yes, a little nuts, but the thicker Feather Professional Super blades are much more comfortable, than starting with the last razor. And yet, I still can't get a perfectly BBS shave. I might try a Feather SS, SR, DX shavette at some point. You certainly make straight razor shaving look easy, but you've undoubtedly have had lots of practice. Thanks for your videos -- and for trying lesser shaving tools in some of your other videos.

Wow. Thank you very much for your information ! It makes sense, that's why I couldn't found it, I like it very much ! Now i will try the current aftershave from Lidl..😊 Regarding straight razors, to me nothing beats a straigh razor shave, but is not just for the closest shave, it's all the experience and effort involved. If you don't fancy sharpen, strop, oil, etc. You're good with a safety razor, it's as close of a shave, it might only require a few more strokes to achieve it. Thanks again ! Take care..😉🍻

Straight Razor? Any properly honed 6/8 Dovo, Boker, Revisor, etc.. Or used, used for a beginner would be my choice. Plenty for sale on facebook groups. Just make sure is really shave ready, you will also need a leather strop!

Full hollow I use naniwa pro 1k Shapton pro 5k Japanese natural is a Shoubudani with diamond plate slurry to start.
